24.01.2022 So I know we have gone quiet over this second lockdown. Let’s face it - it’s been tough. Tough to be away from loved ones, tough to juggle the new demands of working from home, schooling from home, tough not being able to travel and enjoy the freedoms we’ve become accustomed to. And tough trying not to go round the twist from home... It has also been really tough for a lot of businesses - large, medium, small and micro. We have muddled through and sadly our plans to hav...e Place Accommodation offerings in a range of locations and styles across the GV came to a grinding halt. But hey that’s life and thankfully we have our health as do our nearest and dearest. So while we had to close all but one of our houses - on the upside River Place is still open for business. We’ve upped our already high cleaning standards and have implemented a minimum two days between stays for the piece of mind of our guests. 20.01.2022 NEW MURAL FOR SHEPPARTON Local artist Tank has raised more than $1000 to create a new mural in Shepparton called 'Stay The Duck At Home'. He has began work ...on the piece which will be in the alley beside 26 Fryers Street. Tank says the artwork is about documenting our current situation with the Covid-19 epidemic through art for future generations. 14.01.2022 One of the many benefits of staying with #PlaceAccommodation is the full sized kitchens we offer in each of our houses. Today at #TaturaHouse we whipped up a roasted pumpkin and sweet potato soup. In times like these there has never felt like a more important time to eat well. In this vibrant little community we are also blessed to have a full range of food suppliers. Two butchers, two bakers, (not sure if there is a candlestick maker?), a full service IGA independent supermarket, plus a pharmacy, great coffee and a variety of takeaway outlets. Everyone seems to be doing their bit to keep their physical distance yet with a smile and a good morning/afternoon. We are counting our blessings and hoping collectively as a community we can stay safe.
