22.01.2022 INTERNATIONAL NEWS: River Plate have qualified for the semi finals for the Bridgestone Copa Libertadores, after a disappointing 0-1 loss at home to Cruziero but River Plate managed to go and win 0-3 in Brazil with goals from Carlos Sanchez, Jonathan Maidana, Teofilo Gutierrez. River Plate will now play against Racing Club in Argentina to secure a spot on the finals, VAMOS TODAVIA!

15.01.2022 Aston Athletic will commence discussions for a senior outfit for 2016, this is a step forward we are willing to take for devolepment of aspiring youngster in the academy to get a chance to compete at a senior level to gain experience and also will allow ex river plate academy players to return to academy & club training. Trials will be held 2 weeks after junior season has finished and pre season will commence during the spring term. Our goal will not only include rising through the state league ranks but also competing in the FFA cup to achieve glory and respect as a club. We encourage anyone who wants to participate in the trials or even begin training with our respected 16's and 18's side to forward an inbox to this page. Spread the word, the glory days will come again for the extinct Piranhas to give birth to Aston Athletic.

12.01.2022 Spring is coming! We are again hosting our Spring program for those who want to continue there devolepment at our state of the art facilities. With a our professional coaches and trainers who have plenty experience under the head coach and president Daniel Santomil. This Spring we have plenty to offer with Tuesdays, Thursday, Fridays, Saturday and Sundays training sessions with plenty of games and competetions available throughout the spring. We welcome anybody from any club around Victoria to come and participate in this Spring program. Champions arnt born. Champions are made. If you dont work hard you dont deserve to dream. So lets starting dreaming!

11.01.2022 INTERNATIONAL NEWS - River Plate today won 2-0 (60' G. Mercado, 73' R. Mora) against Guarani from Paraguay in the first leg of the Bridgestone Copa Libertadores in the Estadio Momumental. This is a great step forward as River Plate new transfers debut in their first Copa Libertadores game ( J.Saviola, L. Alario, L.Gonzalves) Now River Plate are traveling next week to play the second leg in Paraguay. Vamos River! On other news, Pablo Aimar wasnt picked for the Copa Libertadores squad due to his fitness and ongoing injuries so he has decided to retire from football. Pablo Aimar started his football career in River Plate and travelled around europe playing for prestige clubs like Valencia, Real Zaragoza, Benfica and also holding 52 caps & scoring 8 goals for the Argentina National Team. We wish Pablito good luck.
