22.01.2022 And thats a wrap! Wow! 10yrs would like to say it went off with a bang but it kinda went off with more of a blow! I (Evan) want to take the time to thank the people standing either side of me in this pic. Adrian McNichol, from a passing comment if u need a hand we threw you straight in the deep end and made you our official Covid officer but man did you swim! well done mate, absolutely nailed the job and u were a step ahead of everyone with compliance, essentially a...llowing us to hold the event this year! Thanks mate And Libby Robinson, The best just get it done chick, hard to put into words the effort and personal touch you give this event. Heartfelt thanks because without your patience and hard work I know I definitely would not have made it to the 10th! Thanks legends! P.s oh and of course huge thanks to you the Mackay Community for supporting for all these years!

Next challenge- Ride the River is a 10km ride at the River 2 Reef Ride. This is a family friendly course along Blue Water Trail with one road crossing and short loop at the Botanical Gardens. For anyone who has already registered as a volunteer we will be holding a volunteers meeting on Thursday 10th September at 6.30pm at Sporting Wheelies Hall, 78 Bridge Road. If you are unable to attend the meeting please email [email protected] and we will be in touch with all the info you need.

11.01.2022 If you are joining the River 2 Reef Ride on Saturday the 12th September, please remember there is no yellow jersey and no podium with trophies and flowers. River 2 Reef is a community charity ride not a race. all road rules apply * along Bluewater Trail you will be sharing the path with many other bike riders and pedestrians- the path will not be closed to the public. if you are about to overtake a rider or pedestrian please give them warning- call out or ring your bell. most importantly, follow directions from our fabulous volunteers and give them a thank you - the ride would not happen without them.

11.01.2022 If you are registering for the Ride the River 10km Option you must still select a start time when you are completing your registration. All riders must select a start time and start their ride during that half hour period.

It is very important you reply to this message before the event. If you are unsure of your "entry number" (as you have not yet collected your ride bag) please just reply "No" with no other info needed.
