25.01.2022 The Term 2 school year for 2020 has indeed been an unusual one. Rivercrest Christian College embarked on Online Learning for all its students. The following is a recap of perspectives from our Rivercrest community from a teacher, parent and student.

23.01.2022 Year 7 Math students were given the assignment to research the history of the metric system and present it in any way they see fit. The following is a short extract from one particular students presentation. Noah decided to do a recording using his research skills, performing arts and design skills. 21.01.2022 One of our Prep students made her very own adding/fun machine! The following is a short extract, from her original 3 minute tutorial, on how to use her machine! As you can see, she is a confident and clear communicator and her video is engaging and fun to watch. We think she did a fabulous job and it is still hard to believe that she is only in Prep!

16.01.2022 Year 7 student Raquel, produced this first draft of drawing an image by grid box from an image. She focused on tone and variation, using a range of graphite pencils. Fantastic!

13.01.2022 Dr Maria Varlet, Head of Research and Innovation, is down at the Crest Education Agriculture/Horticulture Centre to check up on our new lambs! There have been a few births of late and there is another on the way!

13.01.2022 Rivercrest Qualifies for State Chess Finals! The Australian Chess Federation recently held a Primary (Year 1 - MY 1) Interschool Online Tournament on Wednesday, 19th August. The exciting news is Rivercrest came 4th overall and have now qualified for the state finals! Congratulations to the following five Rivercrest students who represented the college: Ian, Christian, Dillen, Jacob & Liana. Congratulations team and all the best for the state finals!

12.01.2022 This time of year we would usually have our wonderful Art Exhibition, showcasing lots of beautiful artwork from our amazing, creative artists at Rivercrest. Unfortunately, this is unable to take place in its usual form, therefore we are please to announce the Rivercrest 2020 Virtual Art Exhibition! The COMPLETE GALLERY is available to view on Crest Connect and we hope you enjoy looking through a snapshot of the beautiful artworks that our amazing, creative artists have produced during this online learning journey, with the support of the wonderful Mrs Stork in Prep and Mrs Marshall from Year 1 to 7!

05.01.2022 Primary students from both Hillcrest and Rivercrest Christian Colleges have collaborated to produce an inspiring virtual choir performance! Students learnt the beautiful song 'Thankful' by Shawna Edwards and created posters illustrating the things they were thankful for. We are so proud of all of these young musicians and we hope that this song reminds you of things to be grateful for even in the midst of difficult times.

02.01.2022 Congratulations to both Candace and Lachlan Middleditch on the birth of their son Stuart Keith Middleditch. Stuart was born on Tuesday, 14th July at 3:56am. Candace and her new bundle of joy are both doing well and they are very thankful for all the support and encouragement from all the Crest community. Congratulations to the Middleditch family!
