21.01.2022 Part Time Casual Aboriginal Langauge Teacher positions with TAFE NSW available in the Riverina Murray area. Don’t have a current certificate IV in Training and assessment, but you do have a passion and know Wiradjuri language and have the skills to teach it, you may be eligible for a scholarship once you have completed the studies, you will hold the qualification needed to become a Trainer and Assessor with TAFE NSW. Would you have time to introduce yourself to new refugees arriving in Albury? Australia is a big place, this is an opportunity to share our beautiful part of the world and our culture with people from all over the world.

17.01.2022 RMRA Chairperson got to meet with Local Presidents of the Aboriginal Education Consultative Group at their Riverina 1 meeting today to talk all things RMRA and share our most recent achievements, with social distancing in place. Thanks Mark Morgan for the invite. It was great to see so many people again and to make new connections too. AECG are there for our children, from preschool to tertiary. Do you know that AECG have a partnership agreement with Department of Education? Most community meetings are held monthly. Check out your local AECG

15.01.2022 Do you run an Indigenous corporation and want to have your say on the laws that govern your corporation? The National Indigenous Australian's Agency (NIAA) is s...eeking submissions on the review of the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (CATSI Act) until 21 September 2020. The review will be to consider whether the CATSI Act is serving its purpose, including as a special measure under the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 and what amendments should occur pending the outcome of the review. 07.01.2022 NSWALC Student Scholarships now open for applications NSW Aboriginal Land Council has two scholarships of $10,000 each available to assist students with funds t...o help complete their studies at a tertiary institution (University or TAFE). Fields of study may include law, finance, business, media & communications, human resources, land & environment, planning, policy or property management, or a discipline where the applicant can provide a direct link between their study and the current or future work of NSWALC. The Scholarship will also provide an opportunity to undertake a six-week paid internship, to be undertaken between November 2020 and February 2021, in a NSWALC Business Unit of the Scholarship recipient's discipline. In light of COVID-19, the timing for undertaking the internship component will be determined closer to the date. Applications close 28 September 2020.
