24.01.2022 "Good Morning Barbie. What do you have to tell us." Barbie: "First off. Term One is going to finish this week instead of next week. While all the borders are open, Helen and David are travelling to Margaret River in Western Australia to see their daughter and her family. Term Two will start on Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd April." "And what else Barbie?" Barbie: "This last term was good. All the new students learnt Eight Section Brocade Exercises, Shibashi One, the Dayan Kidney Strenghtening Form and various other things. Next Term we are moving on to the Tai Chi Form proper. It will be good." "See you then. In the meantime happy practising and be kind to everyone."

22.01.2022 "What are you doing Barbie and Ken?" Barbie: "We are practising our social distancing. Actually, you need this much room to do Tai Chi and Qigong anyway." "Not long now before you are back in class." Barbie: "Only one week to go and the Wednesday classes resume and the beginners classes start on Thursday 4th February - 9.30am in Corowa at the St. John's Church Parish Centre and 6.00pm in Albury at the Assembly Hall of the Public School. It will be so good to have an excuse to get out of the house and meet other people." "You sound excited. Look forward to seeing you there."

22.01.2022 "Barbie you look upset. Why is that?" Barbie: "Because Tai Chi is closed. It is the highlight of my week. What am I going to do now. Who I am going to talk to beside Ken? " "The main thing is to stay well, so I guess we all have to stay at home in isolation. You can still practise either by yourself or with the help of the DVDs and by doing the right thing we are being kind to everyone."

19.01.2022 Last lesson for the year in the park at Albury.

17.01.2022 Nurture Sling has been busy selling face masks. They are made from organic cotton and are triple layer, reversible with black on the other side, washable and nice and soft. Available from the eBay site or local pick up (send SMS to 0455 589 996).

17.01.2022 Corowa Tai Chi is off also. Hope everything settles down soon so we can get back to doing what we like without worry.

17.01.2022 "Well Barbie, how did the first week of Tai Chi go for 2019. Barbie: "Fantastic." "Why do you say that Barbie?" Barbie: "It was so good to catch up with everyone from last year plus there were new people in each class. We went over some of the qigong sets that we already knew plus we are going to learn/relearn the Patting Form and the first 20 movements of the Dayan." "Do you think the new people will be able to handle it?"... Barbie: "Yes, real easy. The older forms are easy to copy and are supported with DVD's and we only learn a couple of moves of the new forms each week. Good to keep the brain active as well as the body." "How did Ken go?" Barbie: "Loved every minute of it." "You sound very happy and positive Barbie, so keep practising and be kind to everyone." See more

16.01.2022 "Hello Barbie. What are you and Ken doing?" Barbie: "We are doing some quiet standing after practising some of our Tai Chi and Qigong sets. The holidays are nearly over and we are really looking forward to getting back to our regular classes. It will be good to find out what everyone has been doing over the holidays. It has been so hot here. One day it was 46 degrees. I bet water played a big part in people's activities." "In that case, I hope the halls are air conditioned. A...re they Barbie and when do they start again?" Barbie: "Yes, the halls are air conditioned. The classes resume on the 6th February in Corowa and 7th February in Albury. Also Helen has a couple of come and try sessions lined up at the Grandparents Day of the NSW Seniors Festival in Albury on 24th February. It will be a good year." "Well keep practising Ken and Barbie and be kind to everyone." See more

14.01.2022 Even bees do things in spirals.

Tai Chi & Qigong is gentle exercise beneficial for men and women of all ages and levels of fitness. Instructor with over 30 years experience. Phone Helen on 0455 589 996 for more details.

13.01.2022 I have just returned from another great workshop at Euroa in North Eastern Victoria. I was very pleased to present Faye Sizeland with her level 3 Qigong teacher...s certificate. I will be back in Euroa late October for two 4 day Da Yan Wild Goose workshops see flyer https://www.simonblowqigong.com///06/2018-Euroa-Da-Yan.pdf See more

11.01.2022 "Hello Barbie, you look happy to see Ken." Barbie: "Yes, I am. It is so good to have him back all fixed. You know, sometimes it is good to do things by yourself and other times it is good to do things with a special person. Ken and I like to practise Tai Chi together. I have found the more I practise the easier it gets and the better I feel." "That's good Barbie. I won't have to say "Happy Practising" as that is what you are doing, but I will say "Be kind to everyone".

11.01.2022 "Good morning Barbie and Ken. Why are you clapping?" Barbie: "We are so excited because Tai Chi & Qigong classes are resuming in just two weeks. It will be so good to be exercising again, both physically and mentally." "Where are the classes being held? Are they beginners classes?" Barbie: "In Corowa at St John's Parish Centre on Thursday morning at 9.30am and in Albury at the Assembly Hall of the Public School at 6.00pm. There are classes at other times for more advanced stu...dents." "You don't say much Ken." Ken: "I am a man of few words." See more

09.01.2022 "Hello Barbie, how are you handling the social distancing." Barbie:"Better than I thought I would. I am fortunate that I do have Ken to talk to, even though after all these years together, we just about know what the other person is going to say before they say it. We practise our Tai Chi and Qigong together most days in RSL Park if it is fine. If not, we do a qigong set at home as that doesn't need much room. We keep each other motivated. And as I am not allowed to ride my motor scooter at the moment, I have taken up push bike riding, so I am fitter now than I have ever been." "It sounds as if you have adapted to the situation well Barbie. Keep it up."

09.01.2022 Has anything happened since our last conversation Barbie? Barbie: "Yes. Graeme, the person on our DVD passed away last week on 29th September. Graeme had been ill for some time and his passing was anticipated but it is still sad all the same. He is at peace now. Graeme had an enthusiastic and positive attitude to life and the world is a better place for him having been here." Are the classes going to do anything special in his honour Barbie? Barbie: " We are going to learn th...e Guigen Qigong. Graeme taught us this set some years ago after learning it from Dr Xu Hongtao in Beijing. It is a healing Qigong and means "returning to the source or root". It works on the five elements and meditation. It will be good." When will this happen Barbie? Barbie: "Next term. The Wednesday morning class in Corowa starts on 17th October and they will learn the Lohan as well. The Thursday evening class in Albury starts on 18th October and they will also learn the Five Step Wushu." Sounds good Barbie. In the meantime keep practising what you have already learnt and be kind to everyone. Barbie: "I will. Do you know Tai Chi pushes back ageing - that is why I still look so young after all these years!" See more

08.01.2022 Hello Barbie. Why are you and Ken smiling and clapping? Barbie: "That's because we are going back to Tai Chi in Corowa tomorrow and there is a date for the Albury classes to resume - 23rd July. It will be so good to practise Tai Chi and Qigong in a group again. There seems to be more energy when you do it with others." That is good news Barbie. In the meantime happy practising and be kind to everyone.

06.01.2022 On Sunday 24th February the Albury students met at the Botanic Gardens. This was to take part in Albury City's Grandparents Day for the NSW Seniors Festival. The Botanic Gardens are a beautiful spot to display our Tai Chi & Qigong. Thank you everyone for your support.

05.01.2022 The end of another year - 2019. Photos of the Corowa and Albury evening classes. All the classes learnt heaps but there are still plenty of things to learn next year. Thank you for your support during the year. Stay safe over the holidays and look forward to seeing everyone in early February 2020. Keep practising and be kind to everyone.

04.01.2022 "Haven't heard from you for a while Barbie. What has been going on?" Barbie: "We have been very busy learning various Tai Chi Levels, the Tao Yin and in another class the Dayan." And what are you and Ken doing now? Barbie: "We are practising "climbing the mountain". This is for the ending of Shibashi as a closing form. I will tell you how it goes - "There were two baby birds on the ground... The man returned them to their nest He watched them as they learnt to fly The birds flew away in the autumn And returned in the spring The man climbed the mountain to watch the setting sun Peace settled on heaven and earth." That sounds good. I would like to see it done. When are you back from holidays? Barbie: "Corowa resumes on 24th July and Albury 25th July." I will look forward to it. Lynn Laing would like that. Thanks Barbie and happy practising and be kind to everyone. See more

04.01.2022 27 people enjoyed a Tai Chi session at Junction Square, Wodonga last Saturday 8th February. Everyone looked as if they enjoyed doing Tai Chi out in the open. Thank you Bronwen Garner from Wodonga Council for arranging it.

04.01.2022 Last night on the way home from Tai Chi in Albury we met a kangaroo. The airbags worked well. David and I are unscathed, can't say the same for the poor kangaroo or the car. Janine Stiff from WIRES gave us a lift home. Thank you Janine.

03.01.2022 Last class for the year in the park at Albury. Another good year.

03.01.2022 Corowa Wednesday morning 9.30am class at St. John's Parish Centre is on again! We are learning a couple of Qigong sets which are easier to learn and copy than Tai Chi. If you ever wanted to give Tai Chi and Qigong a go, do it now.

02.01.2022 Tai Chi for Term 3 is resuming this week Wednesday 22nd in Corowa and Thursday 23rd in Albury. I understand some people will be cautious but it will be good to see the ones that do turn up again. It has been so long.

01.01.2022 What a difference a night can make. With the cancellation of the border crossing permits Albury Tai Chi is off again. Corowa will keep going for the moment (until the next directive). This is a good example of yin/yang - on again, off again. In the meantime, stay safe and warm, keep fit by practising your Tai Chi and be kind to everyone.
