05.01.2022 MOVEMBER The Kingaroy Firies Postie Bike Run started on Wednesday 4th November to Saturday 7th November. 10 Postie Bikes, 10 Riders, 1 support Vehicle sponsored by Riverina (Australia) and 2 Support personnel travelled 1000kms raising $8,058 for Movember. Movember aims to raise awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men's suicide. ... The team started in Kingaroy and travelled to Wondai, where Riverina's very own Cookie shaved his head, mo and eyebrows! Then travelling through Proston to Mundubbera, completing 250km for day one. Day 2 - Mundubbera through Aurban state forest to Chinchilla then to Miles (300km) Day 3 - Miles to Dalby to Kaimkillenbun (250km) Day 4 - Kaimkillenbun over the Bunya Mountains to Kingaroy (200km). All of the riders and support crew were either current or retired firies and the riders came from Mackay, Tannum Sands, Wondai and Kingaroy. Well done to everyone involved, what an amazing effort for a very worthwhile cause.
