04.01.2022 Shiitake mushrooms make a wonderful addition to your favourite soup or stir-fry because they're naturally rich in compounds called beta-glucans, which support h...ealthy immune system function. In a randomised clinical study*, 52 healthy people consumed 5-10 grams of whole, dried shiitake mushrooms every day. After four weeks, researchers found evidence of increase levels and activity of key immune cells, along with changes indicating that inflammation had been reduced. This study involved healthy volunteers taking culinary quantities of dried mushrooms, which may have inconsistent levels of beta-glucans. 02.01.2022 I was deeply concerned seeing people recommending the oral consumption of colloidal silver or silver nano particles to the public which resulted in increased de...mand in the marketplace. I cannot stress this enough that it is not safe nor efficacious to consume these ingredients. They should only be used topically for skin and wound infections, mostly incorporated into wound dressings. Just for starters, there is a lack of significant clinical evidence for its efficacy and the absence of sufficient human evidence.
