24.01.2022 Congratulations to our Executive Officer, Carrah Lymer from Emerge Creative Agency for completing the Wine Australia 2019 Future Leaders program. Carrah said of the experience, "I was honoured to have been able to do this program. It challenged my thinking and gave me the tools and guidance to grow professionally and personally. I was able to learn so much from meeting a diverse range of people from across our sector and create strong connections that I potentially otherwise... would never have had the opportunity too. I will certainly be encouraging others from our Riverina wine industry to apply for future years because if we can continue to grow our own people through programs like this, it will continue to strengthen our local industry. Thank you to the Riverina Winemakers and NSW Wine Association for supporting and encouraging me to do this program; Andreas Clarke and Jo Hargreaves from Wine Australia for driving and supporting; to Mikey, Bec and the team at Pragmatic Thinking for facilitating; to everyone in my 2019 alumni group - it's been a real privilege and a lot of fun getting to know you all.

12.01.2022 SOME DURIF-FIC NEWS from Wine Australia 2020 Vintage Report. - Durif overtook Grenache to be the 7th largest red variety. - The estimated crush of Durif has more than doubled in five years - Three-quarters of the Durif is grown in Riverina.... - Australian exports of Durif increased by 6 per cent in the 2019 calendar year. - Exports of this variety to the USA accounted for 34 per cent of all Durif exports and grew by 22 per cent.
