25.01.2022 If we maintain the fire equipment perfectly but no one knows how to use it ... its useless. Nick and I have been presenting to Body Corporate Managers today about why not putting an Emergency Plan in place is exposing them to risk. Stay tuned for a link to get a Free copy of our book if you want to know more

19.01.2022 Great night last night at our annual dinner. Michelle received our Service Award for outstanding service to our customers and our team. Gary celebrated 10 years with us.... We celebrated winning the Strata Communities Australia support business of the year late last year - and we are finalists again this year. We also celebrated that for the second year in a row we are finalists in the National Fire Protection Company of the Year Award - maybe this year we can win. As owners Bob and I (Alan) really appreciate the effort our team display every day in meeting the needs of our customers. Without their efforts we would not be considered for any of these awards. Thank you!!! Stay Safe

16.01.2022 Ever wonder what a fire sprinkler looks like when its been activated?
15.01.2022 This is what happens when fire mains are not flushed, inspected or maintained. Sedimentation and Tuberculation results. Tuberculation (too-BURR-kyoo-LAY-shu...n) The development or formation of small mounds of corrosion products (rust) on the inside of iron pipe. These mounds (tubercles) increase the roughness of the inside of the pipe thus increasing resistance to water flow (decreases the C Factor). See more
14.01.2022 Fire authorities right across Australia in their media releases often issue a caution to be aware of how quickly a fire can travel, and to be prepared early. H...ere are two photos, showing how quickly things can change in less than 10 minutes. One photo is the staging area at the Parndana oval (Kangaroo Island), at 7.47 pm on Friday 3rd January. The second photo was taken 10 minutes later - although it only took a few minutes for the sky to turn red, as the fire approached. This is why fire authorities say leave early - because if you wait to see the smoke, before deciding to leave, it can take just a few minutes for things to turn to s**t. Thanks Rob Haitch for the photos (And a note - photos taken by a firefighter working on a fire appliance at the fire)

13.01.2022 NEW BOOK BEING PRINTED! Emergency Planning is as important as the fire equipment installed in your building. Most people dont give it the attention it deserves.... 13.01.2022 Our thoughts are with this business owner and his staff. Emergency Planning includes Contingency Planning for a business. What if this happened to your work place, could your business continue to operate? What contingencies do you have in place? The number of business that are destroyed when a major fire occurs in their building is shockingly high, there is a microbrewery up the road that went out of business following a fire.... So what do you do? This is what we have in place: - Remote back up of all computer files - Computer software on computers not on our central site so we can run remotely if required - Suppliers and other service providers around us that can help us with site specific infrastructure We are confident that we would remain in business after a fire only because we have planned for it. Do you have a Contingency Plan? Stay Safe!

07.01.2022 If you are in a bushfire prone area and thinking that you will stay and defend then preparation is critical. One of the things often forgotten is how horrific the fire front is, watch this video to find out. If you think this would be too traumatic for you then stay and defend is only your last resort, like it is for me and my family.
