25.01.2022 We all know how hard it is to get elastic lately. It is like trying to get toilet paper a few months ago. Well I ordered some ages ago and it didnt come so I ordered more, it didnt come, so I ordered more again. Guess what. After 2 months of ordering elastic it all came this week and I don't need it all. I have 7 x 10 metre packs for sale. I am selling them for what it cost me plus the postage to get it to me so $13 a pack. Like I said I only have 7 packs available so once they have gone that is it. I also have heaps of packs my son got for me in Adelaide that I will sell when I pick them up because my 2 180 m rolls are here I wont be needing them either. Pick up at Shop 16/24 Renmark Avenue, Renmark Mon-Fri 10 am to 5 pm, Saturday 10 am to 2 pm and I will be open this Sunday only 6th Sept for Fathers Day 10 am to 2 pm.

25.01.2022 Lady is finally here. She is settling into work life well as you can see. Sleeping like a baby after having a massive play with her new brother Teddy this morning before work. If you come into the shop please don't be offended as I am not allowing Lady to be handled until she is fully vaccinated to keep her safe from getting mainly Parvo. She has her own areas she is allowed on which will be mopped regularly so that even I don't take Parvo into her area and give it to her. It will be hard because she is just so cute, but I am not willing to risk her health. In a few months time I am sure she will be loving all the loves she will get from my wonderful customers. Thank you for understanding.

25.01.2022 New rules came in tonight about Shops to close, so far I am still allowed to trade, but not sure for how much longer. This will give me the chance to push my website sales and get it up and running. I will be open tomorrow, but I have now got a bottle of sanitizer at the door and it is a requirement that you use this before shopping this is in place for your safety as well as mine. 22.01.2022 Days are getting colder and darker earlier so Country Candles & More will be changing its trading hours to 10 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday and Saturdays will be 10 am to 2 pm starting from today.

19.01.2022 I am home now and the Quilting Machine is back also. If you have a quilt needing to be done bring it in by Thursday so I can get it finished before I leave again on Sunday as I will be in Mildura for 2 weeks with my Country Candles & More business.

18.01.2022 COVID UPDATE: We are closed for 6 days as we are not an essential store. I can post to you but you can not currently collect. I am trying to find out if masks can be collected if paid for and left in a bag out the front of my door with no contact but currently cant get any answers for that one. It will take me a few days to make more masks anyway so hopefully by the time I get a good stock up 3 to 4 days time I will know if you are allowed to collect with no contact. In the mean time. I will be at home making more masks. Sorry for the inconvenience but it has been taken out of my hands and I don't want any fines. If we all do the right thing this will be over quick.

17.01.2022 Do you have any quilts that you have been working on needing to be quilted? I am still quilting customers quilts for $3.50 per square Foot so come on out to Country Candles & More at Shop 16 Renmark Avenue, Renmark (Next door to Dominos) and I can fit you in. I currently have none left to do so if you get in quick it would be 3 to 7 day turn around depending on how many you got for me to do. Trading Times Mon - Fri 10 am to 5 pm, Saturday 10 am to 2 pm, CLOSED Sundays.

I don't have the room in my shop to do other sizes as they will be cut at home and brought into the shop as my cutting table is still at home due to not enough room in the shop to do this kind of thing in there. $20 a metre. 13.01.2022 As some of you know my mum has been very sick. She has now passed and is no longer in pain. I am also moving into a new shop at the old Nut's About Fruit shop in Renmark. I will be open on Monday but closed on Friday for my mums funeral. All quilts will now come there as I will have everything there for you to choose from. The quilting machine will stay at home as I only have a 4 month lease to see how things go. If I decide to stay on depending on the support we get having a shop then I will bring the quilting machine in when we do a longer lease. I will have bath bombs, candles, melts, candle and melt burners, diamond paintings and quilts for sale and probably more as time goes on. I hope to see you there soon. Leah

12.01.2022 What a day. I have been making masks non stop since 8.30 this morning. Had a 30 minute lunch break and a 30 minute tea break and only got 55 made. Answered lots of messages from Essential workers (As they are the only ones I am approved to sell to at this time) Spent the last hour and a half filling orders and now I am going to bed to start it all over again tomorrow. I wont be taking anymore orders now until I get the next lot made so if you have emailed me and paid your order is here waiting if you are still waiting give me time to get back to you when I get more made. Sorry but it is only me making them and they take a while especially when you have 6 different stages to complete them. Wish there was 6 of me working each stage at the same time.

09.01.2022 I have the quilting bug. I actually got to quilt 4 of my own quilts this past weekend and bound 2 others that have been sitting there for a bit. All to sell in the shop of course as I have so many quilts of my own already. If you have a quilt that needs quilting let me know as I have none waiting to be done so there will be a quick turn around.

08.01.2022 Country Candles & More are having a Boxing Day Sale. We have a around 20 different Candle Fragrances left for sale. We are having new jars in 2020 so the remaining candles left are for $15 each. Normally $25. Marble Candles are usually $30 now $20. We have Bath bombs from $3 or get yourself a Bath Bomb Bag for $20 (approx $25 worth of bath bombs per bag. Lap Quilts are $50 each, Large Cot Quilts $80 normally $120. Melts $5 each or 5 for $20, soaps from $1. Come to 172 Eighth ...Street, Renmark North tomorrow (Thursday 26th Dec) between 9 am and 4 pm to grab a bargain. There will also be other products available like Quilting cotton, patterns some materials ($5 per metre with min cut 1 metre) as I don't have much left and if I can find my left over Avon products they will be there too. 08.01.2022 Batik is now in my store. $16 a metre, 1 metre cuts is the minimum cut. I have 2 metres of each in store right now. If you want a larger cut let me know and I will cut it and bring it in as the rest is home, due to not having the space to store or cut the materials. 08.01.2022 I keep getting asked if I am bringing fabric back into my shop and the answer is no. You have to buy 13 metres per design and it cost me between $13 to $18 per metre. So if you add that up it is any where between $170 to $240 per design. I don't have the funds to do this. HOWEVER, I have seen a few websites that I have been getting my own fabric from for my masks and cot quilts and I was thinking of doing the same thing. To do this I would pick some designs and put them up for PRE ORDER sales. They would be 1 metre piece cuts only and they would be $25 per metre and would need to be paid when ordered. This would be up for PRE ORDER for a month before I order the fabric so there would be a waiting period of approx 8 - 10 weeks before you got your fabric. Is this something you would be interested in?

08.01.2022 Oh My. I am making some little dresses and Jump suits and orders are coming along nicely. Sizes that can be made so far are as follows Romper Suits 3 mths $25, 6 mths $28, 9 mths $32, 12 mths $35, 18 mths $38, 2 years $42 Dresses 3 mth $25, 6 mth $28, 9 mth $35, 12 mth $38, 18 mth $42, 2 years $45.... You can choose if you want the whole dress made of the one fabric or I can use a shadow play fabric for the Yoke to make it not so busy like shown in the second dress I can do dresses in 3, 4, 5 and 6 sizes but I would have to get back to you about price as it would depend on how much material would have to be used. I only buy material in 1 metre pieces so not sure I would get those sizes out of 1 metre. When I get a change I will make one of each size, but I have to do custom orders first. See more

05.01.2022 I have spent the last 2 to 3 weeks updating my website. I have put most of my Jewellery up online, my candles are updated, my melts are updated, all the Electric Burners are up, Quilts are all up. We had a special for Easter which is now finished, but I have just started another special where you get 10% off everything when you spend $50 or more. 05.01.2022 It is condition upon entry to this shop that you sign in manually or electronically. They are now monitoring and handing out fines to people who don't sign in. Not sure about you but I can not afford a fine for an individual not doing the right thing. A fine for me in reality will close my store down. So please do the right thing and sign in. If you cant sign in with your phone you can complete a form and place it in the box provided under the counter at the door. You have t...o pass the sign in table to enter my store so if you don't want to sign in then please don't come in. I don't mean to be rude and I want my customers to come in, but fines were issued by police today in the OTR in Renmark and it can happen here too so I am now pushing sign in more than before as I sign in everywhere I go willingly as it is what must be done so I now ask the same when you enter my store so bring your phone if you have one otherwise you will be required to complete the form at the door or no entrance permitted. 02.01.2022 Do you have a quilt that needs to be quilted? We have the machine at the shop now so I can do them during the day, which means for you quicker turn around. No more waiting to do them on the weekend. Get you quilts in now as I have my last customer one on the machine and it will be finished tomorrow. It is a biggy 102 x 102 inches. Come to 17 Ral Ral Avenue, Renmark (In the Foodland Arcade) and bring that quilt.

02.01.2022 So my plan this weekend was to do the 5 quilts I have. Migraine kicked in 1.45 pm Saturday so out the window that went. At least I got 2 done

02.01.2022 So time is getting close to being on the road again. I currently cant do any quilts as my machine is in being serviced. I wont be bringing it back until I do my first run in Adelaide so if you have any quilts to be done I can do them in the week I will be back home which is the 17th Feb to the 22nd Feb. Please remember if you want it back that week you will have to get it to me by the 20th so I have a few days to do it otherwise if you get in past this date you will have to wait until I am back on the 16th March before I can get it back to you.
