22.01.2022 Our 2020 AGM finally went ahead last Wednesday night after training, which is thankfully back on again. A big thank you to Jason King who unwittingly took on the president's role at last year's AGM before the COVID19 situation & proceeded to steer us through the first season in 35 years in which we didn't play any games plus all the other ups & downs that 2020 threw at us. Kingy stood down at the AGM for personal reasons but ended 2020 on a high note by presenting Rob "Hammer..." Romeo & Darren "Titty" Tieste with Life Memberships. Rob Romeo is back in the hot seat again as club President, with Dave Setchell & Shannon Harkins returning as Secretary & Treasurer respectively. Mark May was appointed Team Manager & Rob "It's All About Me" Johnstone will continue as Publicity Officer with assistance from Darren "Dexter" Kennedy (whether he likes it or not - Rob's not getting any younger). In other news, club legend Shane "Rowdy" Healy has been awarded Life Membership of AFL Masters SA, with the award to be presented at the association's AGM next week. 21.01.2022 We've rescheduled our 2020 AGM to Wednesday 2nd December. Assuming everything goes to plan we will be able to go back to training on the first & third Wednesdays from December 1, so the AGM will be following training. Please remember that the club does not run itself, so we need good numbers at our AGM. More people putting up their hand means less work for everyone so let's get a good turn out, finish 2020 on a high note & gear up for 2021!

12.01.2022 Merry Xmas & Happy New Year to everyone & their families & a big thank you to all of our sponsors & supporters. Hope you all stay safe & well during the holiday season & see you all in 2021! Pre season training will kick off on Wednesday 6th January & Wednesday 20th January then we’ll be back to weekly training on Wednesday nights in February.

07.01.2022 Well as the year comes to a close, we’ve rolled out for the last training of the year! Cliff was there to oversee and take on a new player signing for 2021! Hop...efully see a few of you at the Lyrup Club for an official Christmas drink and our raffle this Friday. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! Love, Cliffy.

05.01.2022 On Saturday the 10th of October the Riverland Superdogs held an internal trial match for current, past and prospective players at the Lyrup Oval. Conditions were windy and warm and tested both the skills and the fitness of the players. The stand out player was Wayne Batson who ran tirelessly all day. In his Superdogs debut, Jeremy Miatke provided plenty of run and had an impact at both ends of the ground. The spectators were treated to plenty of mouth watering match ups, incl...uding Lance Gum marking Rob Johnstone, Jason King versus Mark May and Joe Butson taking on Darren Kennedy in the ruck. Haimish Sanford and Matt Recchia created plenty of opportunities for their teams out of the middle and proved difficult to contain. Andrew Schultz, Mark Wilksch, Dougie Stewart and new player Greg Schloithe battled hard all day and the Superdogs will be hoping to see all four as regular starters in 2021. Phil Strachan did a fantastic job as field umpire even though the Superdogs still hold hopes he might pull on a guernsey in the not too distant future. Weekly training will continue until the first Wednesday in November at the Lyrup Oval and new players are always welcome. The Superdogs 2020 AGM will be held after training on November 18.

04.01.2022 As of today we're required by our COVID Safe Plan to put in place the state government's QR code check in system for training & associated club activities. We will have printed copies of our QR code available on site for Wednesday night training this week. Please download the MySA Gov app on your phone so you can check in by scanning the QR code with your phone. YOU DO NOT NEED TO CREATE A MYSA GOV ACCOUNT TO ACCESS THE CHECK IN FEATURE IN THE APP. Help will be on hand on the night to sort out anyone who needs it & if all else fails we'll have a hardcopy attendance record anyway. If anyone has questions in the meantime please fire away!

01.01.2022 Great to see a younger version Darren Tieste bound for glory

01.01.2022 Our next fundraising raffle night is on Friday 15th January at The Lyrup Club. Bring along something for the prize table & help the usual suspects sell a few tickets. While you're there why not support our long term sponsor & have a meal & a few quiet drinks.

01.01.2022 Unfortunately we didn't have enough club members attend last Wednesday night to go ahead with our AGM. Fairly understandable given the impending COVID-19 lockdown but it should be mentioned that those of us who were there enjoyed a few quiet drinks & some magnificent platters of food. The word "unprecedented" has been used a few times in 2020 but I've never had prawns & oysters at Lyrup Oval on a Wednesday night before, so bad luck to everyone who wasn't there. At least I have the common sense not to taunt you with any photos. We're looking to reschedule the AGM at the earliest possible opportunity. Cheers, Setch

01.01.2022 As per the state government's latest COVID-19 directions training has been cancelled until further notice. As the direction comes in force from midnight tonight this means we will NOT train this Wednesday night. The 2020 AGM is still going ahead in accordance with our existing club COVID-19 Safe Plan & we'll kick off with food & drinks from 7pm followed by the AGM at 7.30pm.
