22.01.2022 Road tripping thanks to #rediscoveraustralia. We can say that this deal is indeed amazing value. The accommodation is outstanding, the food in Deco has been absolutely divine, and a Toblerone cocktail to finish in the bar. A day trip to Nundle to the Woolen Mill and the local stores and lunch at the Peel Inn filled in a day nicely.

21.01.2022 Zoe and Alwyn are currently off touring the lovliest part of South Australia doing unique and boutique. Staying at the Barossa Old Garage with its unique 50/60's retro style and today spending time in Tanunda, Angaston and Nuriootpa. The rolling hills with vineyards to the left and right on Seppletfield Road ....ah the serenity!

17.01.2022 We have just had the pleasure of hosting a tour last week for 15 of the loveliest people through to Canberra. And cover it all we did. From Floriade to Old Parliament, Telstra Tower to cruising Lake Burley Griffin, Bingo to buffets....the list we hit was extensive. Over half of our group was made up of the Lower Clarence Laurel Club and some being Legatees and veterans and friends of those. So it was very special and an honour to visit the Australian War Memorial and present a donation and to lay a wreath at the Last Post Ceremony. We can't wait for the next tour.

16.01.2022 Dont forget we are running day tours again this year. Some are already locked in....get in quick as tickets are selling fast. We are also planning one to Mount Tambourine and the wineries so we are taking expressions of interest for that. Why not get a group of people together and do a private tour.

16.01.2022 With the easing of restrictions in NSW we are opening up our doors again this week for folks to visit. Come in and book some domestic travel in NSW (dont forget we can book everything from planes to trains to coaches and motels),or just come in and have a coffee and a chat with us. Our hours are 9am to 3pm Monday to Thursday. We have a limit of 6 persons in our office (including staff) at any time so making an appointment is good too. We still ask that if you are unwell with ...a cough, fever or any covid symptoms that you do not enter the office and phone up instead. 09.01.2022 It’s unprecedented times in the travel industry right now - so here is our latest update. With the current situation regarding the continuing spread of COVID19 (Coronavirus), airlines and cruise companies have been drastically reducing services to all destinations. As a result, many of our customers who have already booked to depart or already overseas, are experiencing travel disruptions resulting in an increased workload for our amazing team and our valued suppliers.... Due to the urgency requiring us to attend to current bookings, our response times to many of your emails and calls, can and are being compromised. We ask that you do not abuse our staff as this is not acceptable in this more than challenging time. We would ask for your cooperation over this period and ask the following. If you are booked to travel beyond March / April, please keep calm and take a deep breath At this point in time we are trying our best to assist people departing or who have already departed this month to at risk and/or affected destinations. As of yesterday and the DO NOT Travel in place - almost all tour companies, cruise lines and suppliers including many airlines have suspended operations until at least April 30th 2020, some even further. After that who knows! If your travel is of purely domestic nature, there are currently no restrictions on travelling anywhere within Australia except Norfolk Island and Tasmania. Please be aware that if you decide to cancel your holiday, you may still face cancellation and/or amendment fees. Airfares that were purchased which were NON-REFUNDABLE at the time of purchase, remain non-refundable. The only exception to this may be for a country that is declared a no travel zone by the Australian Government. Individual airlines and tour companies are advising of their policies and may decide to offer a credit for future travel and not necessarily a refund. If you intend to defer or amend bookings outside of the policies in place by these airlines, tour operators and cruiselines then amendment fees are still likely to apply. We ask that you bear in mind that this is all very new and unprecedented for us and the Travel Industry as a whole. Things are not set in stone, and remain very fluid. We thank you in advance for your co-operation in this matter during this period of heightened anxiety whilst we try to keep on top of everything coming through to us that demands our immediate attention. We are all in this together and can assure you that your health and happiness is our primary concern. Monika has been in Kenya and Tanzania, Lauren has been in Peru, Hayley's been in New Zealand and the boss has been in manning the office looking forward to her own upcoming holiday. 04.01.2022 So today was meant to be the day of our annual Highland Gathering. But that isn't to be this year. The restrictions in place following the spread of COVID19 have led to the cancellation of the 116th Maclean Highland Gathering. So without our beloved event, today rings the day for something bigger... On 1 January 2020, we lost our great friend and Pipe Sergeant, Alistair Wallace. Alistair was a Life Member of Maclean & District Pipe Band, joining at an early age and remaining ...with the band through to the last. He made an enormous contribution to the band and to our local community of Maclean. The Lower Clarence Scottish Association had planned, as part of the Massed Bands Display tiday, to perform a tribute to Alistair with the Maclean & District Pipe Band to play Scots Wha' Hae (Bruce's Address), later to be joined by the full Massed Bands. Scots Wha' Hae is a tune that many learnt as their first tune and it's first line "Scots, wha hae wi Wallace bled" has particular significance on this occasion. The pipers of Maclean & District Pipe Band will be playing Scots Wha Hae at 4 pm today in memory of our friend, Alistair. All from a distance in their surrounds of home. So why not join in by standing out the front of your house today at that time and listenng to the sound of pipes play throughout town. And those not playing and feel the urge to raise a glass of single malt whiskey to the big man that did so much for our community. #macleanremembers

Whilst we can't sell you much at present we are still here to help you with those small bookings like domestic flights, coach and rail tickets and hotel stays in our state. Why not consider some out of the box ideas like staying at Dubbo Zoo, or a real cave in the Blue Mountains. The list of unique is endless.
