21.01.2022 Not even a pandemic could keep these teams apart... Red vs Blue... the rivalry growing since the rock em sock em robots. Berri will be taking on defending premiers Renmark North after missing out on a grand final last year due to covid-19. Who are you backing this week? A grade - ... Renmark North Vs Berri @ Renmark Loxton vs Waikerie Ramco @ Loxton B grade - Wunkar vs Monash @ Loxton Waikerie Gold vs Gerard @ Waikerie Brownswell - bye
21.01.2022 Hi All Regrettably, the RTCA Executive panel have discussed these developments, and, under advice, we have made the decision to cancel the remainder of the cricket season immediately. The health of players and the community needs to take precedent in an unprecedented situation. Our current information is that all senior and community metro cricket, and nearly all country associations have already made the same decision, at this time. The premiership will be hereby awarded to ...the sides finishing highest following last weekends semi finals, which is what would happen in the event of heat, rain or alien invasion. This will be Renmark North in the A grade, Wunkar in the B Grade, and Loxton in the Under 14’s.(It does say Renmark North finished on top of the under 14’s online, but this is incorrect). The presentation dinner still planned for next Tuesday will also now be cancelled, we will publish all of the association winners in the Murray Pioneer next week, and arrange to get all of the trophies to the clubs of the winner in due course. If you have any questions regarding the decision please feel free to contact myself, or SACA Club and participation officer Kurt Miegel details below. The Executive Committee would like to thank everybody for their participation and efforts throughout the 2019/20 season. While this is a very sad way to end a cricket season, we hope everyone understands, and wish everyone the best of health and hopefully we everyone is back next year more keen than ever. Regards Brian Lynch RTCA President Executive Committee Jarryd Roberts Mick Sparrow Peter Roberts
20.01.2022 With the return of community sports, all clubs are recommended to have a covid-safe plan available from the SA Government website. All participants and spectators are urged to use the QR code to enable tracking in the unfortunate events of an outbreak. When qr codes aren't possible a hard copy of everyone should be taken. For more information contact Jarryd or Mick

19.01.2022 Hi All, Unfortunately, I have been notified by SACA that their players and staff have now been prohibited from all travel, meaning that the game, fundraising and guest speakers planned for the RTCA presentation night are now all cancelled. At this stage, we plan to go ahead with the night simply as a meal and a presentation of the trophies, however we will monitor the advice from the government between now and the 24th, and may yet cancel the event entirely. Will update via e...mail and Facebook. Brian Lynch RTCA President
18.01.2022 Hi all, Well what an interesting start to the season... I would like to update everyone with everything going on in the Riverland. SAVCA vs ACT (veterans state 1 day games). ... Over the next 3 days South Australia will be taking on ACT in Loxton and Renmark. Both states have 2 teams and will be playing 1 game everyday. With games starting at 11am if anyone can get to grounds to support it will look good for the RTCA. If pitch is too wet in Renmark game will be moved to Monash hard wicket. I would like to thank Renmark North and Loxton (in particular Brian Lynch and Ben Files) for preparing the pitches for these games on short notice. RTCA MYCRICKET I just want to inform everyone that the admin access for the mycricket RTCA account has been updated as spoken at our last meeting. Now the only people with access are the executive committee. Junior Cricket Unfortunately, no under 15's games have taken place due to rain. On a brighter note the Riverland is looking to play Mallee under 14's on either November 15th or 22nd in Loxton. With Waikerie Ramco joining late, we now have 3 Woolworths Cricket Blast clinics in the Riverland (Waikerie, Monash & Loxton). Both Monash and Loxton have also successfully hosted their first internal under 12s hard ball games both having 10-12 kids participating. PLAYER VOTES Just a Reminder to decide M.V.P votes this year, captains are asked to text 3,2,1 votes to Mick Sparrow by Sunday night following games. As good as the rain has been, let's hope we can get some games of cricket this weekend! Kind regards, Jarryd Roberts RTCA Secretary
17.01.2022 Hi all, As everyone is probably aware, the second wave of Covid-19 is potentially knocking at our doorstep. The RTCA committee are currently working to reschedule the next 2 rounds. Please help, let everyone know of the changes and most importantly everyone stay safe. If you have any questions feel free to contact myself or Andrew Edwards. Jarryd Roberts

14.01.2022 We are back!!! All games and trainings following the original fixture can continue from Tuesday 1st of December. The state premiers announcement on Friday however noted that there will be a modified programme of fixtures. We are urgently seeking further details on this advice and will share as soon as available... Clubs with a COVID Safe Plan should expect to receive an update directly from the Government of SA on the COVID-Safe Check-in and the QR Code Update. Please monitor your inbox and follow the instructions provided. The RTCA committee is currently working with clubs and players to reschedule games lost due to covid-19 restrictions. 07.01.2022 This communication is to provide you an update on the changed conditions for cricket in South Australia following the statements made this morning by the Premier, Chief Public Health Officer and Police Commissioner. What we know now is that individuals and members of the same household can exercise together outside effective immediately. This does not include club training or match fixtures.... From Sunday, the law will be eased to a similar set of restrictions to those in place on Monday 16 November. However, the Police Commissioner was unable to advise of the effect of these changes on community sport. We are awaiting further advice and the formal direction from the Police Commissioner before sharing guidance on return to play. SACA will update you at that time. Cheers Shane Bernhardt General Manager Community Cricket
