24.01.2022 Step aside guitar, the ukelele is Australia's most popular instrument The Australian Music Association estimates annual ukulele imports to Australia have hi...t 200,000. That is 50,000 units ahead of the next most imported instrument, the acoustic guitar. "It's easy to pick up; it's easy to put down. Students can sit outside with a ukulele, they can do it by themselves or with groups," music teacher Mike Staude said. What's your favourite instrument?

23.01.2022 Margot was here before 9 am, but plenty here earlier than that.

13.01.2022 There were 86 log-ins for the Blue Mugs Sunday Strum this afternoon, but as some were couples, it was actually more than that participating. Today included a family from Canada, who weren't playing; they were just there to see one of their relatives and to sing along!

11.01.2022 We cant go to the pub at the moment, but you can sing about it! https://youtu.be/ZJFXidN4low

06.01.2022 A (belated!) Official Announcement from the Ukelaide Committee: The theme for the 2020 Great Adelaide Ukulele Picnic is ...(drumroll)... "Come Together". We wil...l be sending information out to group coordinators shortly, as well as a songsheet with a transposed version of the song "Come Together" for you to start learning ahead of performing it later this year (we have some cool ideas about that). Watch this space! "One thing I can tell you is you got to be free... Come Together, right now (in December!)"

06.01.2022 Now that we have an official theme and many balls are rolling behind the scenes, the Committee wants to ask you a simple question that takes into account how un...predictable this year has been: "We are planning the Picnic to go-ahead as normal, but if we cannot hold a live picnic in December as a result of social restrictions, do you support holding an online event as an alternative?"

06.01.2022 Bogged down in the same old strumming pattern? Why not give this a go! https://youtu.be/78SsvE20kx8
