16.05.2022 After the Fire with Richelle Walker. Episode // 15 Richelle Walker has lived and worked on their family farm in central Queensland Australia and has done so f...or most of her life. She is an artist and author, mother of 4 and grandma of 7 grandkids. Richelle’s shares her story of loss followed by grief after their homestead burnt to the ground during a very long season of drought and desperate water shortages. She began journaling her grief as away of dealing with her loss. This led to a beautiful narrative which has become her first published book, which was mostly taken from her journal. What a beautiful heart and honest look Richelle gives us of walking out of this kind of tragedy. Be blessed by her testimony of how wonderful God is in all seasons of our lives. https://open.spotify.com/show/6G3Z0xPO9qH9xi4ITYXCCH

03.03.2022 WALK A WHILE It’s not what we get out of life that gives the greatest meaning, but what we do to help others. This photo was taken at Haasts Bluff. I am deep...ly connected to this land and its people, having worked with the indigenous people there for many years and they are now my family. We established a foundation (walkawhile.org.au), to create job opportunities in the creative arts for the indigenous community, as they learn how to make a living from photography, cinematography, music and tourism. I have been shooting here for years, always looking for new angles. Having found this tree one day with a friend, I was excited to try a sunrise and I sensed we were in for a beauty. But I had forgotten my large-format camera! Fortunately, I had my Lumix G9, so I took multiple shots and later created a stitched panorama. This glorious pastel curtain ignited the sky over our heads as the sun’s first rays began to light up the Bluff. See more

03.02.2022 Recommended reading This book is available through Amazon and we thoroughly recommend it. It’s a raw, honest and compelling read taking us on a journey of los...ing a house to fire in the middle of a crippling drought. It speaks into the big emotions felt, the isolation felt living in outback Queensland, helplessness and comeback. Richelle Walker is a member of our Blackall church and together with her husband Phill, owns Westhill which is the cattle station our teams often visit in Blackall..Thanks for being vulnerable and sharing Ricci See more

21.01.2022 Because our kids are worth it. Please take time to hear Amanda compare her journey through grief without a school Chappy with a student who she supported as a chappy. Please consider donating to this special Christmas appeal.

21.01.2022 Please pray for the Walker family and many other who need rain desperately .... God is the drought breaker... the God of miracles. Come on

19.01.2022 Just before Locky’s 9th birthday, his dad fell sick. His family thought it was the flu, but soon it became clear - something was seriously wrong... ’ ... . In the following weeks, months and years, Chappy Amanda was a constant presence for Locky and his mum, walking them through the funeral process, providing meals, and being a safe person to speak with. . Without your support, there would have been no Amanda in Locky’s story - a caring, trusted and trained chaplain. ’ - $, . These funds will directly resource, train and support new school chaplains and youth workers across Queensland. - .
