23.01.2022 WDNA are hosting a Face to Face Development Workshop on the 14th March from 9am-1.30pm. As part of this, we require about 20 volunteer players, minimum 14 years... of age, playing in a high division, for a period of 2 hours from 11am to 1pm on this day to assist with the practical coaching component of the course. If your club has any players that fit this criteria that would love the opportunity to experience a high level of coaching please respond to me. This will be on a first in best dressed scenario.

21.01.2022 Less than 2 weeks until Target Physio joins RBNC for the Sports Performance/Injury Prevention (SPIP) Program 2020! Target Physio are heading on down to RBNC training on the 17th of March to run through some specific outcome measures for netball. The aim is to help reduce you/your child's time off court due to injuries and improve your athletic performance! 84% of injuries in netball are ankle injuries, with a majority of the remaining injuries related to the knee. Of these in...juries, almost half are due to poor landing strategies! Target Physio has specifically designed 4 outcome measures to assess and monitor jumping and landing strategies, muscle strength and agility to help reduce these injuries! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VBPz3I6thI&feature=youtu.be
21.01.2022 To our valued Members Like everyone, the WDNA Netball Community has already been impacted by COVID-19 with our initial decision to delay the start to our season.... We would like to reassure our members that the WDNA Board is having regular discussions on how best to support our netball community at this time. Netball Qld will be meeting on the 8th April with Associations to make decisions based on the current information regarding how we move forward. We will meet shortly after that to propose how we can ensure our members can be included in netball programs throughout the year. We are currently brainstorming a number of ideas on how we can best meet this objective. Of course, at this time we will not be able to formalise these options until we know more. In an email sent yesterday afternoon Netball Qld advised that the State Age Carnival will be held on 26-29 September. Associations have been given no further information regarding this so please be patient while we communicate with NQ for more details. Despite these challenging times, we know that health is the most important thing to strive for and what we all need to be focusing on. We’re working tirelessly to get through these tough times so that we can come back bigger and stronger than ever when the time’s right. Let’s stick together, as the netball community always does, look after each other and stay safe. We are here if you need.
21.01.2022 On this International Women's Day, RBNC would like to take this opportunity to say we are proud of our volunteers, athletes, and families for embodying the #IWD20 #EachForEqual values. An equal world is an enabled world. Individually, we're all responsible for our own thoughts and actions - all day, every day. We can actively choose to challenge stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perceptions, improve situations and celebrate women's achievements.... We hope to continue to grow and support our wonderful community all year round Happy IWD everyone!

12.01.2022 RBNC have partnered with Target Physio to run their Sports Performance/Injury Prevention (SPIP) Program for us to support our players this season! The Target Physio SPIP program is designed to provide the latest available evidence-based research, tailored to netball, and compliment the current training routine. The program is broken down into netball-specific outcome measures and results and recommendation reports. ... The outcome measures are based on common injuries and performance indicators specific to junior and senior Netball players. The aim is to reassess these outcome measures to track individual and team progress throughout the year. On 17th March the physiotherapist at Target Physio will do an initial assessment of our players. They will start at 5:30pm with 12s and 13s. Then from 6pm for players 14 years and over. They will then follow-up with information for coaches to incorporate into training, and will also return later in the season to measure progress, and assess injury rates. https://www.facebook.com/events/2470773909693994/

10.01.2022 Tonight RBNC with a number of past and current senior players had the opportunity to present Shirley Turner with her ‘retirement’ present a memory book - after hanging up the coaches whistle at the end of 2019. Over the year, players, committee members, parents, and friends have written messages of thanks and contributed photos from the past 20 years of Shirley’s time at RBNC. The book has been 7 months in the making, and reunited many players current and past to share th...eir memories with each other! Shirley has been part of the RBNC / KBNC club for 20 years, since both of her daughters began playing. Over those years she not only coached her daughters Lara and Kate throughout their journey, but also served as the clubs A Grade coach, seniors coordinator, coach mentor, and committee member. Shirley has touched and improved the lives of hundreds of young girls and women in the RBNC community, and we hope that this present expresses the thanks we wish to show her. Shirley, you are an amazing asset to the club and you will never be forgotten! We hope you enjoy this trip down memory lane. You created a home at KBNC for many girls, and you will always be welcomed back.
10.01.2022 Western Districts Netball Association is using EVA Check In to register all attendees at netball. Registering your attendance assists in contact tracing should WDNA be exposed to COVID-19. This government regulation is in place to keep all of us safe. Anyone NOT listed on the scorecards on Saturday MUST check in including (but not limited to): - spectators... - parents - siblings - grandparents - partners - other family members - etc EVA Check In is really easy to use, and should take 20 seconds to use! You DO NOT need a special app at all. 1. Simply open the camera on your phone and point it at the QR code. 2. You should be prompted to ‘open evacheckin.com’ in your internet browser. 3. Follow the steps on your phone. You can move away from the poster once the page opens on your phone. 4. Scan the poster again to Check Out. You are invited to scan the QR code (see photo) to practice and set-up your details before Saturday! Posters are located on the pickets on every court (see photo).
