13.01.2022 The RiverMint Dining team feel honoured to announce our collaboration with Crystal Swan Cruises for their new tourism initiative- Derbarl Yerrigan Bilya: Cultural Stories of the Swan River. The Swan River, or Derbarl Yerrigan Bilya, as it’s known in Nyoongar language, has been the main conduit between the Inland Plains and the Indian Ocean for centuries, and holds a special significance for many cultures. None more so than the region’s traditional owners, the Whadjuk Nyoonga...r people, who have occupied this land for over 40,000 years. This is a culturally immersive cruise and an unforgettable educational experience with numerous points of interest and tales of Aboriginal history and culture from traditional owners Kerry-Ann Winmar and Nick Abraham. We feel truly privileged to be able to work with ingredients native to our Australian landscape in keeping with the Noongar Six Seasons and value the guidance and knowledge imparted by the Aboriginal community.
