20.01.2022 With the recent lock-downs giving our OTs some extra time, we thought we would use it to our advantage and up-skill! As self-confessed learning addicts it was wonderful to collect some new ideas and insights to bring into the practice and pass on to you all. Carah nerded out with the national trauma symposium, immersing herself amongst local and international industry leaders and like minded clinicians (which inevitably resulted in too many book purchases... opps!) Laura got social, exploring new tools to support development within the social space. She now has a long list of resources that she will be adding to our toolkit to bring to you all. We are looking forward to sharing our learning with you all!

Asking the question is the first step, but what can you do once you have the answer? especially if the answer means "no", "maybe", "I'm not sure", "I think so", "I'm pretending to be", "I don't have the time or strength to not be"... And for our children and young people most often it is their actions that are telling us; sometimes with a whisper of subtle changes, sometimes screaming it through a metaphorical megaphone in ways that we cannot ignore. 16.01.2022 *** 2021 is coming... and we need your help! *** We have started our planning for next year and so we are asking for your ideas about any group programs that you would love us to be running in 2021. This might be for children and young people (such as social skills, primary and high school transition, interest groups, yoga etc) as well as any groups for parents and caregivers (such as feeding, play, behaviour support etc). We want to make sure we are providing our community with what is needed so ask around and post a comment to help us make 2021 exactly what we need it to be.

12.01.2022 We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our newest team member... Mahdi! Mahdi is our new Administration Assistant and has taken to the role like a duck to water! (To be honest she is already revolutionizing the way we work in the office at RiverRun). We are so lucky to have her on board and look forward to sharing with you all more about Mahdi as her journey continues. Welcome Mahdi!
