20.01.2022 Today update: we are stage two and are currently awaiting NSW state announcement regarding estimated time lines. We have our fingers crossed for 1st June. Will post further updates as they come to hand.

20.01.2022 Update from EOC 5 January 2020- 11.18am The Emergency Operations Centre is working closely with the RFS to support our community and assist in the recovery ...following yesterdays significant fire event. All agencies have assessment teams are on the ground and working hard to restore power, communications and access for our community. Teams are currently assessing the impacts of the fire on homes and communities. Police There are significant resources that have been deployed to support the community in the impacted area. Building Impact Assessments A multi agency building assessment team is currently assessing the highly impacted areas, starting at Conjola. They are identifying impacted structures and providing information back to the EOC and State Emergency Operations. Princes Highway The Princes Highway is been assessed. Transport NSW crews and the SES are on site working to combat tree fall and other damage to the road. Closures remain in place from Jervis Bay Rd south to Corks Lane in Milton Closure is also in place between Wallaroy Drive Dolphin Point to the Kings Highway in Batemans Bay Energy Helicopter assessments of the power supply are currently being undertaken. This is to identify burnt power poles and to provide information to crews to support power restoration. Currently there are power outages in Basin View, St Georges Basin, Manyana, Bendalong, Fisherman Paradise and Bawley Point Local Roads Closed Northern Shoalhaven Turpentine Road - whole length Braidwood Road (Main Rd 92) - residents only to Hames Road, Albatross Deans Gap Road at Yalwal Road Yawal Rd to Longreach Rd to the West Wandean Road Blackbutt Range Road Wandean Rd - Whole length Island Point Rd at the Princes Highway Moss Vale Road- at Main Rd Cambewarra, Tourist Rd Cambewarra and Barfield Rd Cambewarra Illaroo Rd Princes Highway Southern Shoalhaven Clyde Ridge Road at Woodburn Road Bendalong Rd at the Princes Highway Pine Forest Rd from Naval College Rd Sussex Inlet Rd Princes Highway to Spring Street Lake Conjola Rd at the Princes Highway - open to residents, supplies and welfare staff only. Brooman Road at Monkey Mountain Road Old Coach Road Deans Gap Road at Yawal Road Little Forest Road at Forest Boundary Trail Porters Creek Rd at Princes Highway (locals only) Monkey Mountain Rd / Woodburn Rd Communications Assessments of communications towers are being made and generators provided to assist in power outages. Food and Fuel Fuel has been provided overnight to main centres, with groceries supplies being sent to Ulladulla. A number of donations and supplies have been delivered to impacted areas. Sewerage and Water Shoalhaven Water is supplying generators and pump out tankers to impacts areas and resources being escorted into impacted areas where possible. Water supply is safe to drink and will continue to be supplied to the community. Tourism and Visitors to the area It is still requested that visitors to our area do not come at this time. Please do not come down on day trips to view the impacted areas. We need time to restore infrastructure and services. Waste Waste services will be provided as soon as possible with expected collections on Monday, depending on fire impacts. We have been advised of cross contamination of bins in some impacted areas and will resolve these issues. We are aware and will manage this accordingly Beaches and Lakes There may have been overflow into beaches and lakes in areas with power outages. Reports of Dirty Water There have been reports of dirty water across many locations. Shoalhaven Water advises that this is unavoidable consequence of accessing water mains for fire-fighting purposes. Whilst water may contain sediment, the water is still SAFE to drink. The issue should resolve in the next 48 hours. Mayoral Relief Fund Cash donations are the best donation you can make. Shoalhaven City Council Mayor, Amanda Findley, opened the Mayoral Relief Fund in response to the Currawon Fire Emergency on the 6th December 2019 and has been working to support the community since this time in response to the fires. The Mayoral Appeal Fund is the preferred method to assist the Shoalhaven towns and villages impacted. If you would like to make a tribute to Bushfire you can donate via Council to Shoalhaven City Council BSB: 062 585 Account: 10948473 Please quote Reference: Bushfire

08.01.2022 To all our valued patrons, As per NSW State Government requirements, it is with great sadness that we need to inform our customers of our Closure due to the Covid-19 virus. From Midnight 26th March, 2020 all NSW Caravan Parks and Camping Grounds must be closed. Please call our office on 4441 2163 or 0409 176 625 should customers require further details.

07.01.2022 The NSW Rural Fire Service and Local Government authorities recommend people hold off from visiting the Shoalhaven areas in coming days due to uncontained fires... and the need to assess and restore infrastructure. Conditions are expected to deteriorate leading into the weekend, this may increase the risk to local communities once again. Firefighting crews are continuing to work to control the Currowan fire while Energy companies, Local Councils and all other agencies are assisting with restoring power, opening roads and making sure the area is a safe and enjoyable place to be. For those that would like to visit the area to help support local communities, please know that we are reviewing this on a daily basis and safety of visitors and residents will remain our first priority. We will provide further updates as soon as we can.
