23.01.2022 STUBBS STAYS ON As we aren’t ready to announce our 18s skipper, we may as well announce our men’s coach. Lyndon Stubbs will be leading the program once again and has spent the pre-season getting the lads up and running. ... 14.01.2022 This year we have eight blokes attempting to raise funds for mental health throughout Movember. 13.01.2022 Our friends at The Riverside Golf Club Inc Tas are running a women’s only clinic on Thursday A great way to get involved with our community

13.01.2022 LEWIS TO LEAD THE 2S Our second grade outfit will have a new leader with Thomas Lewis taking over from last year's skipper Sol Scott. TLew joined the Blues in 2018 after a strong transition into senior cricket at Burnie. Working his way through the grades, Tom debuted in the Blues' first grade side in the same season with his dangerous left-arm deliveries.... While he hasn't been on the field since before Christmas last season due to a (self inflicted) leg injury, the 22-year-old was showing a new side of himself with the stick before his bad break. #SingingTheBlues See more

11.01.2022 Get down to RCC today and register for the 2020-21 junior season! Our newly-appointed junior and female development officers will be in attendance

11.01.2022 Before the grand unveiling of our eight moustaches tomorrow, here’s the donation link one last time! Whether it be $1, $5, $10 or $20 - every donation goes towards creating a better future for blokes doing it tough - something increasingly prevalent in today’s society https://au.movember.com/team/2348920

11.01.2022 RYAN RETURNS Ryan Gregson will lead our third grade side into action again this season! Our 21-year-old resident water ranger took on the role for the first time and led the boys to a semi-final. Joining the junior club in 2010 before transitioning into the senior ranks in 2014, Greggo started life as a patient all-rounder, before focusing on his hard-hitting batting and occasionally taking up the gloves during his time at the Blues. He will be approaching his 100th senior g...ame this season and would love to top off the year with a flag. To join Greggos 3s, head to training at Windsor Park - Mondays and Wednesdays 6-7:30pm #SingingTheBlues

10.01.2022 *MONDAY MOMENTS* It was only the 1s and 2s in action last weekend but both sides got a win! The 1s traveled to Ulverstone to play under Pete New and the leader stood up, scoring 52* as the Blues chased down 131 only 2 wickets down. ... That couldn't have been done without the strong work of the bowlers as James Simpson's 4-31 led the way and Jesse Homan, Lyndon Stubbs, Ramesh Sundra and Arie Schoenmaker (on debut!) all claimed a wicket. Back at Windsor Park, the Josh Partridge-led 2s defended 146 to defeat Mowbray by 19 runs. The stand-in skipper was in the sheds early as his side started poorly but Ben Kidd's fantastic knock of 63 and Sam Artis' 16* cameo put the side in a defend-able position. Then the bowlers went to work as Max Hunt (3-28) set the scene and Alex Tubb (3-24 on debut) and Kaidyn Apted (4-29) followed to bowl the Eagles out for 127. Picture: Kristina Partridge

10.01.2022 Week 3 Movember update We have some new faces of the campaign with Greggo and Newy taking matters into their own hands and setting each other as their phone backgrounds. Despite only scoring a run for the season, Part is leading the donations as the boys ticked over $400 https://au.movember.com/team/2348920

09.01.2022 *MONDAY MOMENTS* (on a Tuesday...) Both our 1st grade (men's and women's) picked up wins while both 3s sides tasted defeat!... The men batted first against Burnie and were struggling early before Patty Mackrell (28) and Ramesh Sundra (63) pulled us out. Ramma went on with it a bit longer, allowing Lyndon Stubbs (17*) and Jack Manix-Geeves (15) a chance to do some scoring as we made 184. Stubbsy (4-29) got us on top early with the ball allowing the spin twins to run rampant with Ramma's 2-13 and Tommy Garwood's 2-28 restricting Burnie to 156. Our women bowled first against Mowbray, dismissing the Eagles for 87 led by Maddi Hill's 3-5 and Alysha Jackson's 2-7. From there Emma Manix-Geeves and Sophie Parkin decided to do it on their own, chasing down the runs as EMG made 41 and Parkin 36. 3s Blue were sent into the field against South Green and weren't able to break through early despite some strong bowling. Once they claimed some wickets, Oli Hadley and Kyle Clark snagged two with the rest shared as South made 201. Hadley continued his form with the bat with 28 as the top order of Jacob Midson (22) and David Steele (33) set the platform, which unfortunately the middle order couldn't build on - bowled out for 152. 3s White restricted Westbury to 160 as Alex Tubb snagged two poles with the rest shared. He then scored 25 in chase as Fletcher Reid (23) and Matt Geeves (36) in his cricket return guided the side to 9-130 - 30 runs short. Picture: Kristina Partridge

09.01.2022 GAME ON FOR GARWOOD Ending our RCC captains announcement week is first grade skipper Tommy Garwood. One of the league’s leading cricketers and one of Telstra's main men, Garz enters his fourth season as the club’s leader as the Blue Boys chase their elusive finals berth... #singingtheblues
