25.01.2022 The Lions Club of Bathurst Macquarie Inc wishes to thank everyone for their patience while we endeavour to work out our compliance regime as required by the NSW Government Health Department to meet their Covid 19 safety requirements. Unlike Farmers or Food markets we are required to meet specific government regulations. Unfortunately we are unable to give you a start date but in the meantime if you are interested in having a stall please do not hesitate to contact us. The welfare of our members, stall holders and the community are our top priority when we resume. WATCH THIS SPACE!!!

20.01.2022 Our members here in District N4 in Western NSW have been non stop with providing relief in times of Bushfire, Flood and Drought since 2013. There hasnt been a... year go by where we havent been providing a hand up to people affected somewhere. 19.01.2022 It is time to start thinking about Christmas so come on down to see and buy some great locally handcrafted gifts. The Boy Scouts will be there taking orders for Christmas trees too. The Lions Club is also running a Raffle for Drought Relief and your support would be most appreciated. The tickets are $2.00 each and the prizes are: 1st - $1,000 voucher of your choice, 2nd - $500 voucher of your choice and 3rd - $250 voucher of your choice. The raffle will be drawn at the Riverside Markets on 7th December.

Lions across t...he country have been out in full force in their communities this week. And when disaster strikes, the Australian Lions Foundation is focused on getting emergency support to communities in need as quickly as possible. 09.01.2022 I love a sunburnt country, a land of sweeping plains. But I have gotta tell ya mate, I like it better when it rains. The countryside is dying with just no end i...n sight and just to rub salt in the wounds, the bush has caught alight. The landscape is on fire from Brisbane to the Gong, and everybody is asking where the hell did we go wrong? But we can get through this one if we help each other out, take care of your neighbour, that is what Aussies are about. The rain is going to fall again, the good times will return. But living in Australia means at times its going to burn. So if you need a helping hand, just give a mate a call. We are all here to help you out and catch you when you fall. The RFS, the SES, the firies and police all put their lives on the line to help to beat this beast. So hats off to these heroes and I hope when this is over, we can make it up to you!

06.01.2022 RIVERSIDE MARKETS March 2021 After a disappointing cancellation due to rain in February, the Bathurst Riverside Markets made a welcome return for 2021 last Saturday. Seventy-one stallholders were in attendance, coming from outlying areas such as Narromine, Dubbo and Mudgee, as well as from Oberon, Blayney, Orange, Portland, Lithgow and Bathurst, and provided a wide variety of arts, crafts and goods for sale. Gary and Cassie had a great day with their coffee and ice-cream va...n, which has now become a popular regular to the event, and first-timers Milne’s of Mudgee enjoyed their day selling preserves and vinegars. Several stallholders commented that this is one of the best organised markets in which they have participated and that they enjoy coming here. Adding to the atmosphere was the live music presented by Pete and Pete, who covered several styles throughout the day and kept marketgoers entertained. Hopefully they will be able to take part next time. The Markets will next be held on the Saturday of the Easter weekend on April 3rd. See more

05.01.2022 A reminder of the Appeal we launched in October. We now have fires burning in Victoria and South Australia, while those in Queensland and NSW are still ongoing ...and not looking like extinguishing any time soon. Donating through the Australian Lions Foundation will get 100% of your donated money to where it is needed quickly, using our vast network of Lions Clubs members all over Australia. We are so very thankful for the support ALF is receiving from Lions Clubs and everyone who has donated in the past. We are also very grateful for the ongoing and exhaustive effort being put in by our Volunteer and Professional Fire Fighters throughout our country. See more

We want your support but please dont attend if you are showing any symptoms There will be sanitising stations set up and it would be appreciated if you could enter from the car park end of Berry Park and move around the markets in an anti-clockwise direction. Please observe the signs displayed in accordance with being COVID safe and do not handle items unnecessarily. Thank you for supporting the Riverside Markets.
