25.01.2022 Got all the gallopers done before breakfast, glad we did as wind got unbearable, Trev rode Buzz out doing some flatwork and he was good given the wind but we decided to ride others just in the round yard for today as they were to go around the track, with branches falling, and Sunday off etc that may have been a little dangerous, they still had to cop the tree blowing beside the round yard and were all pretty good really, all of these kids are riding horses, we have a stockhorse /tb, quarter horse/tb, clydie / stockhorse /tb and a wb. Thought the 2 kids that aren't Riverside's owners would like to see them undersaddle
24.01.2022 On behalf of owner we offer this mare by Bravo Romulus, 7yo mare just completed breaking in, best suited to an experienced rider to further her education approx 16.2hh
23.01.2022 Whys ran a super 2nd today at balaklava , (photo not from today) , so close just needed that rain to arrive, they quickened away from him at the 600 but he ground away and picked up all bar one. He hardly blew a candle out after the race , let's hope we can get that elusive first win before he's looking for a spell
23.01.2022 Pinhooked as a weaner for us by Adrian as we couldn't attend the sale in Melbourne , and sold through Adelaide Magic Millions for just 24k, bred by some wonderful people in the industry . He was always a nice horse with a great walk but a little immature and a bit of a clown, today was his second win, with a good weight, was wide and still found the line, great win let's hope he can go on with it for connections this prep. Ryan has done a great job giving him the time he needed before this prep. He was also broken in here at riverside and gave Trev a nice feel when he was riding him , we usually do well with our runners on Melbourne cup day where ever we run, but unfortunately this year didn't have anything ready to race , so was good to have one we have had something to do with run well
11.01.2022 This is Austin - Highly Decorated he had his first start today for us ,of course he got the division that broke the track record and he copped a fair bit of pressure from a big horse on his outside (he's only a little chap) so rather happy with his 8th knowing he's looking for further. Isn't he the cutest, I love him, he's a strange one for Trev to train though as we usually get the hot, slightly mad ones to fix, this bloke is quiet easy going and when mums finger gets better she might just steal the ride , I haven't ridden racehorses since galloping goldie down at the beach after my accident and nearly passing out with the pain from the rod/shin so 6 years ago maybe
11.01.2022 Adel, she didn't care in the slightest is a bit of a flighty filly but has really settled this prep,
10.01.2022 Are you interested in being a part of a racehorse, this is Riley, he is another tricky horse who we are starting to gain his trust, when he arrived he nearly broke (or probably did) Trevor's nose he couldn't be bridled without it being taken apart to get it on and you definitely couldn't put the reins over his head, he was also quite touchy with having someone on his offside, wary of lots of things and yes he has raced. Fast forward to today, bridle went on without too m...uch fuss needing only one person to get it on (usually takes two) and he took the reins going over his head without too much fuss, our time spent working with him has gained his trust and now he is showing his personality aswell as taking day to day life as it comes a bit more now, he has a lovely action and a great appetite so now we have him doing things right we are looking for people to join in on the fun, it costs less then you think, pm if interested , he is bred to stay See more
09.01.2022 Whys aka Sunni wasn't a fan of the chopped up track today, and also showed at the track he needs a break even though he is well in himself and been doing everything right, proud of his efforts this prep being a cast off from a big Vic stable who no one wanted to train to a sweet but cheeky boy we have today, he came home and wanted food, enjoy your break big boy , can't wait for next prep Terry Hann #bcomplete shine
