16.01.2022 Sensory Play!!!!! Sensory play encourages learning through exploration, curiosity, problem solving and creativity. It helps to build nerve connections in the brain and encourages the development of language and motor skills. There are many benefits that may go unnoticed, such as the development of abilities to focus and block out distractions. Sensory play is an important part of childhood and, within reason, there are really no limits to what you can use in sensory activities; today we explored shaving foam.

14.01.2022 National Reconciliation Week is celebrated from the 27th of May to the 3rd of June. It is a time dedicated to building positive, respectful relationships between Australians and celebrating indigenous culture. Even at a young age it is important for children to broaden their understanding of indigenous culture in their community. We celebrated with a variety of different activities throughout the week.

12.01.2022 On Saturday we enjoyed a special lunch at The Mediterranean in Crescent Head for Montana's baby shower. We wish her all the best and can't wait for her return.

09.01.2022 Our bubble and water play led to spontaneous, child led interest in making a river for our boats. Lots of imagination and creativity, science and exploration happening today.

08.01.2022 Musical Instruments....Very early in their life, children will start to identify rhythm and even move to the beats of music. After all, music is meant to touch our souls! Besides that, music provides cognitive benefits that support children’s early development. The Baby room had fun exploring the instruments today learning new skills while singing nursery rhymes with Jess and Miranda. In the Junior room Maddie, Tahli, Kaitlin, Abby and the children all had fun selecting an instrument and singing to Baby Shark, ABC's, Cheeky Monkeys and Barramundi.

07.01.2022 Goop was a hit with both Juniors and Pre-schooler's today, exploring the different textures. We also extended on with our nature collages too which seems to interest the children greatly, paint was added today as well.
