18.01.2022 Good morning all, The Little Whales Wellbeing Centre in Sydney sent a huge package of pouches to @Rivers Vines and Alpine ARC Corowa, Included was the pouches... with messages from the children.(see photo below) which have been passed onto us here and Moah's Ark Yarrawonga Wildlife Shelter. Mimi the director noted the children (& adults) were anxious about the media coverage of the bushfires. The sewing bee enabled the children to talk about their feelings & be able to contribute to the rescue & recovery effort. Mimi asked for pictures of animals with the pouches to reinforce the positive message & help the children be proud of their efforts. Jackie from RVA posted " I was speechless when i opened the box of incredibly beautiful handmade items from Little Whales Wellbeing Centre in Sydney. The messages to the animals & Thankyou cards to the firefighters had me sobbing tears of joy. The items will go out to cuddle the wildlife to health from Upper Murray, Barry Mountains, Snowy Ranges & to the coast. Thankyou, your gift is priceless." Yesterday Moah's Ark Yarrawonga Wildlife Shelter and myself had a photo shoot of these gorgeous pouches with the messages on them. We felt such love doing this for the Little Whales and knowing that their little pouches have and will help the wildlife in care for a long time.
