25.01.2022 Could I please encourage anyone who wishes to get their lunch at the Shop tomorrow, 9th October 2020, to come before 1 pm. instead of before 2 pm when the shop usually closes. Reason being it's the last day for Robert Hannaford's Exhibition at the Art Gallery of South Australia and I will be closing at 1 pm so that i can travel down to Adelaide to see it. 18.01.2022 Having heard that I am deceased and "broke" the Riverton One Stop Takeaway Shop is proud to announce that I am alive and kicking (!). I am ready to serve breakfast/meals starting again at 8 am for those Tradies who would like a coffee or something to eat before going to work. School Lunches will continue to be prepared and Morning Tea and Lunch will continue to be served until 2 pm. At 2pm I will close until 4 pm when i will reopen for the evening meal closing at 8 pm.... 18.01.2022 We have been having issues with the phones. Telstra have stated that there is no connection because it is not connected to the NBN and that to ensure that it is connected i should contact their Sales Team. I do not like dealing with Telstra and given their previous advice that i should approach Beam which i did, i cannot see why i need to get onto that roller coaster that is Telstra. 10.01.2022 What an amazing working bee, lots and lots of work and lots of laughs. The amount of work we got through is amazing. Thankyou to Craig, Ben, Peta, Kym, Rob, Coo...per, Paige, Joey, Matilda, Lucy, Nicky, Lawson, Colbey, Ellie, Todd, Tamra, Scott, Joseph, Aidan, Sheridan, Holly and me(Raksha). The work everyone put in was AWESOME!!!! Almost every room has been tidied, backyard tidied & mowed, bottle area sort a bit better & a beautiful new path out the front. We could not have done it without the help of Sloans Sands for giving us sand, Thrifty link agencies Riverton for being fantastic, Balaklava Stitch Joint earthworks for supplying all machinery and truck for free (thank you thank you thankyou), Clare & Gilbert Valleys Council once again for the pavers (we had 3 left over),thankyou to Wild Country Cakes for delicious cupcakes they went down a treat, Riverton One Stop Takeaway Shop - The Real One for bringing over a huge lot of chips for the working hoards, they went well with our bbq. 10.01.2022 ..Riverton One Stop Takeaway..... Is open for Lunch 7 Days a Week from 12-2PM Dinner from 4-8PM Tuesday - Sunday... We also have: Plain & Self Raising Flour Grocery Items Pies, Pasties & Sausage Rolls Smoothies Fresh Bread Fresh & UHT Milk Beside the Rohdes 700gram free Range Eggs which are kept refrigerated. We now have 1kg bags of Plain and Self Raising Flour - which is hard to get at the moment! Come in and try Lil Moes ( from Kapunda) Pies, Pasties & Sausage Rolls which are hot in our Pie Warmer. ( I always knew that the Pie Warmer would come into its own!) Its also a nice drive there to collect the Bakery items and meet the friendly Staff. Megan, our resident Smoothie" Maker, also makes great Fruit Smoothies having learnt from some of the best. She is also a great Cook! Lucy, our "Green Salad Maker" does a great job too creating her Salads & is learning to expand her repertoire. Look out for Greek Salad and other creations. I enjoyed the Fish she cooked for me last Sunday. Lara, our newest Employee, is learning the job but has proved herself a really good Cleaner and will become a really good cook in time. Finally, I am trying to contribute to the learning that is going on by trying to learn to use the more advanced, well a little bit advanced, intricacies of the Computer. I may be able to take some pictures and upload them - how hard can that be I ask myself, probably no different from uploading documents on the various Court Portals. I live in hope! in the meantime Ill rely on others for that job. And where would we all be without you our Customers and our Friends.
