25.01.2022 Solafa Fares and her family are among hundreds of thousands of Kurds that fled their homes in Rojava following Turkey's invasion in October 2019. Her daily struggle to take care of her children has worsened by their harrowing situation - their only shelter an obscure tent.

22.01.2022 In addition to the physical impact of the Coronavirus pandemic, the impact on the global economy has resulted in a drastic minimization of aid to Kurdistan's refugee camps. This affects refugee families in an immense way - making available resources even more scarce. #Kurdistan #Kurds #refugees #family #children #refugeecamp #camp #COVID19 #coronavirus #global #economy #economic #impact #poverty #resources #charity #RizgariFoundation

21.01.2022 Self isolation is the new normal for Kurdish refugees. Every possible measure is being taken to prevent Covid-19 from spreading into their impoverished, tightly compact communities - an outbreak would be catastrophic. Isolating means these families face even harder days ahead as even their most valuable resource, each other, is stripped away. #Kurdistan #Kurds #Kurdish #refugees #refugeecamp #camp #impoverished #compact #communities #community #family #children #disease #outbreak #coronavirus #COVID19 #selfisolating #charity #charitableorganization #RizgariFoundation #donate

20.01.2022 How Covid-19 affects refugees -

19.01.2022 Self isolating is one thing for people living in their homes but consider those who live in refugee camps, people displaced by war or those who have no home. It is a privilege to be able to self isolate in your own home and its the least we can all do to protect the vulnerable.

19.01.2022 Refugee camps are not homes. The quality of life within Kurdistan's refugee camps is abhorrent. The camp managers do the best they can, with whatever resources they have - but it is not enough. Basic necessities are not available to all, social services non-existent and programs for the highly vulnerable short on funding. Whilst the world is managing the Covid-19 pandemic, these afflicted people continue to suffer immensely, their situation as precarious as ever.

15.01.2022 The growing global economic crisis has drastically stifled people's willingness to donate towards Kurdistan's refugees. Amongst these impoverished communities, vulnerable groups such as orphans are at heightened risk of neglect, as programs directly catered to their needs are abandoned. #Kurdistan #Kurds #children #ChildRefugees #refugees #refugeecamp #camp #orphan #economic #crisis #COVID19 #Coronavirus #pandemic #poverty #neglected #abandoned #charity #RizgariFoundation #donate

14.01.2022 The bitterly cold Kurdish winters are incredibly hard to endure for regular civilians let alone the Kurds living in refugee camps. These people live in deplorable conditions, in a state of extreme poverty and without reasonable shelters or clothing to keep them warm. #Kurdistan #Kurds #Kurdish #refugees #refugeecamp #camp #clothing #shelter #winter #cold #poverty #charity #RizgariFoundation

13.01.2022 During Covid, we have been quietly working on our policies, strategies and short to long term vision of our organization. Whilst we are in this stage of refinement, we wish to emphasize that we will always be committed to improving the lives of Kurdistan's most vulnerable and afflicted. This is our mission.

09.01.2022 7 year old Kurdish boy Hawas Mesud and his family fled their home in Qamilo, Rojava after Turkey's invasion. He is among 13,000 refugees now residing in Bardarash Camp.

07.01.2022 Thousands of Kurdish families spent Newroz 2020 in obscure shelters, without electricity and heating to keep them warm - perhaps their only solace was each other. However, due to restrictions following the COVID-19 outbreak, families are instructed to self isolate in their tents and shelters separating the communities in these camps even further. These are unprecedented times for people who have found a way to celebrate this event despite invasion, wars and displacement. Sel...f isolating, social distancing and following handwashing guidelines is a form of banding together and an expression of community spirit. These Kurdish refugees are sacrificing even the most simple thing in their lives, community gatherings- to minimize the impact of this virus. We thank the efforts of camp managers in ensuring that refugee camps are at the forefront of COVID-19 prevention and we express our deepest sorrow for the people who will likely be affected the worst - Kurdistan's refugees. #Kurdistan #Kurds #refugees #refugeecamp #Covid_19 #coronavirus #selfisolation #sacrifice #newroz #RizgariFoundation #charity #donation #donate

07.01.2022 Fleeing war and persecution, Kurdish refugees are forced to live in abhorrent conditions. Dirty drinking water, food scarcity, cold and feeble shelters and very poor access to education gives these downtrodden Kurds very little hope for the future. Even during this global pandemic, we affirm that we remain committed to our goal of supporting these people and giving them a future they so surely deserve. #Kurdistan #Kurds #refugees #children #refugeecamp #camp #war #persecution #water #food #shelter #education #poverty #scarcity #pandemic #Covid_19 #coronavirus #goal #support #future #charity #charitableorganization #NGO #RizgariFoundation

05.01.2022 Kabarto Camp in Duhok, South Kurdistan has experienced immense flash flooding amid the Coronavirus pandemic. Whilst everyone remains isolated to avoid spread of the virus, 30 tents have been washed away since the flooding began yesterday. Road blockages from the floods make it impossible to deliver assistance to the people in dire need. #Kurdistan #Kurds #refugees #refugeecamp #tents #coronavirus #flashfloods #floods #RizgariFoundation

02.01.2022 Whilst the world stops due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Kurdish refugees continue to live in an extreme state of poverty. Poor access to education, food, fresh water and shelter - coupled with record low donations and international aid, puts many of these people at a heightened risk of death. #Kurdistan #Kurds #refugees #refugeecamp #camp #children #COVID19 #pandemic #poverty #risk #death #poor #food #water #aid #donation #donate #RizgariFoundation
