25.01.2022 What a massive day! Huge crowds, huge amount of food, but most of all it was a great positive day for our club. Congratulations to all the winners today and all the runners up. Amazing talent and skills were on display today and you should all be proud of what you have achieved. Thank you to the Volunteer Medics! The Referees, Linesman, Water runners, Trainers, Coaches our competition couldn’t run without you! To the Canteen Ladies ( Kelly, Sandra, Penny & Bec) thank you f...or feeding the crowds and keeping hungry tummies at bay! Each game being played shows more effort being put in especially defensively and better understanding of how rugby is played at this young age . Our brother and sister combination of Ollie and Lizzie just shows how much fun our team is with Lizzie named player of the match. - Mike Plaister U10s U10s are improving each week. Whilst we went down to EP on Sunday - we definitely won the first half. Lack of reserves saw fatigue take its toll in the second half and the final score (5 - 37) reflected this. - Brad Wright U13s GPS returned to Redcliffe with a bigger, stronger squad determined to make amends for narrowly losing in round 2. The Seasnakes boys were equally determined to send GPS back to Ashgrove with a 2-0 record vs Redcliffe. 22.01.2022 Weekend match reports ! U7s Going strong ! U10s... Had a loss against Albany Creek, tough first half and battled back in the second half. Special mention to Elijah who got injured. Good character and valiant effort displayed by all. - Sam Maguire U13s Commanding performance by U13s. They dominated Easts 46- 10 and earned the right to give coach Mike the ice bucket treatment again. - Brian de Leeuw U16s A much better performance. The Redcliffe boys were all outstanding and they pushed the Wests team for long periods of the game. Onwards and upwards! U12s Girls 7s Beautiful weather to witness some stand out playing this week. 21.01.2022 Final match reports ! U7’s Final game vs Caboolture showed our ability to hold onto the ball for long periods of time which frustrated the Caboolture team and coach!... The score didn’t reflect on the amount of ball we had and Caboolture made the most of their opportunities and were eventual winners. Strong performances from Alex ,Jeremiah,Saxon and Lizzie. Special thanks to our coach Bronwen Cara for all of her hard work on and off the field to make sure all players are made to feel special and have direction into next season. Mike Plaister U13’s The U13s had two half matches against stronger opposition to finish the season. First up the boys faced Sunnybank white, a true arm wrestle of a struggle and after dominating for long periods of play were able to get across the try and score a converted try. The arm wrestle was definitely taking its toll on the boys and against the run of play Sunnybank were able to get in behind the Redcliffe boys and score a try right as the Ref blew his whistle for full time. Final Score 7 all. The lads then had to play a back to back second match against Norths number 1 team who having had a 30 minute rest were ready to go. The boys made the Norths work hard, but in the end the larger squad and rest saw them prevail. All up a great season despite the uncertainty of the year, special thanks to coach Mike whose guidance and reassurance is developing a squad not only of great rugby players but also fantastic lads with team commitment. Brian de Leeuw U16’s First up the boys had their first win of the season over Redlands 7-5!! The second game they lost 28-14 but it's was much tighter (last time we played them lost 58-5) It's just a reflection of how much the boys have come over the season, and I am sure a lot more wins would have occurred if the season continued. You could see they no longer felt intimidated against the higher division teams and gave as much as they got. Again outstanding performances from all the Redcliffe boys! Andy Cara U13’s Girls Sevens Final round for our girls in their combined Norths and North Lakes team. Special mention to our Redcliffe girls , Millie and Coco have both shown strong improvements in their overall game. It has been an awesome season with a big thanks to Jana and James from Norths Junior Rugby and Dean from @North Lake Leopards. We can’t wait to see all the girls for Summer Sevens in October and see the first Redcliffe Junior Rugby Club Girls Sevens team take the field! Nora Maguire

17.01.2022 Match reports ! U7’s This week redcliffe u7 host Norths.... Narrow loss this week 40-30 showed the progression the team has made during the season from the first game of the season considering we have younger players in our team. Special mention to Saxon ,Jeremiah and Eddy who scored his first try on Saturday for the club. Mike Plaister U10’s u10’s had a shaky first half with most points scored against us in this period. We bounced back in the second half with some quality rucking and tackling, but we just couldn’t convert the effort onto the scoreboard. - Brad Wright U13’s U13s hosted Redlands at the Snake Pit on Sunday. First try was scored in the first 44 Seconds from Outside centre Isaac Robinson and the team never took the gas of the pedal. Strong performances from Number 8 Javarne Lewis ,Prop Marcus Harris-Pomere always had our forward pack moving . Lucas Chang our main lineout target was able to get some clean ball and Wingers Isaac Chang and Taimana Brell (two tries) both crossed the line. Redcliffe 40 Redlands 5. Undefeated at home 2020 Mike Plaister U16’s Under 16s had two games and turned the corner this week. Their defence was outstanding and they all dug in for each other. The first game they lost 8-0 but despite Redlands scoring in the first minute, Moreton bay dominated for the rest of the game, with the boys being held up over the line three or four times. The second game again they lost 14-7 but had a number of opportunities to win the game. Andy Cara Girls U12’s Sevens The girls took on the wet weather to play some their best sevens yet. Hosted at Norths and playing Logan then Easts in the combined Redcliffe , North Lakes and Norths side . Improvements all round and looking to our final game next week. Nora Maguire

09.01.2022 Great first weekend of rugby for some of our junior teams @rjru , positive vibes throughout our match reports. U10s @Norths U10s went down to Norths. However, a good game by a 1/2 new team. Some great positives and also some things to work on. Great performance by our 3 girls in their rugby debut.... - Brad Wright U10s Coach U13s @Caboulture Tough first outing after the boys lost a couple to injury early on. They never gave up despite it and took the game right up to Caboolture who had to work hard for their win. -Brian de Leeuw U13s U16s @Norths We played South's division 1 side. It was the first outing for the Moreton bay barbarians. The boys never gave up and despite the loss they never gave up, and will be much better next time around. - Andy Cara U16s U12s 7s Girls @ North Lakes Coco and Millie represented Seasnakes , their first full field 7s combining with players from Brothers, Norths, North Lakes and Easts. 04.01.2022 Weekend Match reports! U10s Home game against Everton Park saw the U10s walk away with a loss - a busy field for the entire game with plenty of good chase and effort ... U13s After taking a strong lead in the first half, the U13's held off a spirited comeback from GPS to win. Of course every win is especially enjoyable for the boys so they can give coach Mike the traditional ice bucket treatment. - Brian de Leeuw U16s Another tough outing against East's at Albany creek. It was a much better performance than the week before. The Redcliffe boys all played well, particularly Byron Magnus, Jett Northwood and Mason Eustace - Andy Cara U12s Girls 7s Beautiful day for the girls @sunnybankrugbyclub.
