22.01.2022 My name is Renee McClellan and I am a Registered Nurse with 14 years experience and a lived experience in the NDIS world. I have Master 10 who is on the spectrum as well as having ADHD hyperactivity and innattentive, Depressive and Anxiety Disorders. Master 8 currently going through some assessments. RJ's Support Co-ordination has come about through a desire to help parents, children and adults navigate the journey through the NDIS system. The journey can be daunting and stre...ssful for some and they don't know where to start. I can help before your review with: - Giving you support and guidance on what to take to your planning meeting. - Help you understand the NDIS journey ahead. Once your plan comes through, I can help you as a Support Co-ordinator: - Understand your plan on how it can meet your needs - Link you with supports and services to help you exercise your choice and control. - Review supports with you and make changes where required. - Understand service agreements and the myplace portal - Prepare for upcoming reviews. This is just a little of what I can do with you to help you exercise your choice and control. I am able to explain things in a very easy to understand way and want to make this process less daunting for everyone involved. 19.01.2022 Does there need to be education sessions for people who need to access the NDIS?? Guidance on how to get started, what information could be submitted, and if approved what information to take to initial planning meetings? Im talking to a lot of people who don't seem to know where or how to start?? Just thought its a good discussion point. Please keep comments positive. 16.01.2022 Question, If you could access 1:1 support from a support co-ordinator or someone who can help you understand and help you implement your plan, would you access this help with the costs of that service coming out of you or your family members plan??? This doesn't mean ongoing support co-ordination just someone to help you understand what is what?? I am aware that this could be classified as a job to be fulfilled by an LAC, however if this is not being fulfilled and you still h...ave no idea would this help??? Thoughts??
