10.01.2022 Lockdown can take a toll on our relationships. Counselling can help to straighten out some creases and reconnect with your partner. https://www.rkct.com.au/counselling

04.01.2022 #selfcare #part2 #selfcarewithRae #lockdown @rk.counselling Self Care continued Day 8: Had a nap, went for a walk and listened to my body.... Day 9: Slept in, went for two short walks to get out of the house and embraced it when it started to drizzle. Went to bed early to get a good night's sleep for the week ahead. Day 10: Resisted the urge for junk food (being disciplined is the highest form of self-care). Had a healthy lunch, swapped a walk for mindfulness due to the windy conditions. Visited my chiropractor and felt less tense Day 11: Social interactions at work and engaged in supervision for work Day 12: Danced.... the highlight of my week Day 13: Put in a few solid hours of assessment work Day 14: Slept in and relaxed before an overnight shift

03.01.2022 #selfcare #part1 #selfcarewithRae #lockdown @RKCounselling When we went into lockdown again (lockdown 2.0) I wanted to make more of an effort to look after myself and engage in self-care. I took the time to jot down my self-care for each day for 30 days. By no means did I do this perfectly and struggled some days. Day 1: Set realistic to do list and worked through it. Coloured my hair, broke up recycling and got out of the house for a walk even though it was drizzling, worked... through a journal article for my studies. Day 2: Went for a walk in the cold to get out of the house. Completed more work for my studies but stopped when my body told me to. Day 3: Had breakfast (something I don't normally do) and finished a puzzle Day 4: Watched Gilmore girls and spent time with my partner Day 5: Engaged in mindfulness exercises and spent time doing my hair and make up for date night Day 6: Bought trackies (yes I didn't have any) in between counselling clients and sat down to manage my time which helped me to feel less rushed Day 7: Prioritised (first thing) to complete an assessment, that was not due for another 10 days and did it. This freed up the rest of my weekend - IT FELT GREAT!
