25.01.2022 Congratulations to David and Amanda Roach who were presented with pins and certificates for their contribution to the Rotary Endowment Fund. This Fund provided financial support for humanitarian work done by The Rotary Foundation.

25.01.2022 It was great to be able to welcome Ian Turner into the Rotary Club at a relaxed night at the Globe Hotel on the 22nd of June. Ian has been supporting the Club through his work at many of our events including his assistance with the catering during the bushfires, all those months ago. Thanks and welcome Ian...

23.01.2022 A good day with a good result. Big thanks to the team of Rotarians and helpers. Nearly all of the donated items are with our community members. Enjoy..

23.01.2022 From the dreams of Sir Clem Renouf in the 1970s until today, look at what Rotary International and its partners have been able to achieve! Only Pakistan and Afghanistan are now left with only a very few cases - that is world-wide eradication almost achieved! Well done

15.01.2022 A great time catering at the Olinda Men’s Gathering at the Olinda Hall today. Congratulations to the organisers in putting together a great day to get people together. There was a barber, knife sharpening, massage, health checks, a public jigsaw, food and drinks (that was us), mental health support...... well done to all.

12.01.2022 Today, Sunday the 19th of July, started with a heavy fog in the air and light frost on the ground. The temperature was just in the positive figures but as the s...un rose over Rylstone, the fog cleared and the day warmed. At 10:30am, the members and friends of the Rotary Club of Rylstone Kandos met on the bank of the Cudgegong River at Rylstone to welcome and induct two new members into the Club, and to stay COVID safe. Amongst the group was Rotarian Patrick Healey from the Rotary Club of Greenhills-Maitland who was spending his weekend in Rylstone working with District Governor David Roach on some District administration. Patrick also took some time to coach our Club’s new treasurer, Rotarian Janell Cole, in the finer points of the financial role. Thank you so much Patrick for your generosity of time and experience. As my first official task as President, it was so exciting for it to be the signing up of two new members. Both of these people have so much to offer the Club and I know that they will gain great reward from being involved with our wonderful organisation and our great Club. Congratulations and welcome to Rotarian James Johnson and Rotarian Helen Fuller. See more

11.01.2022 Photos from this morning’s wreath-laying at the Kandos and Rylstone memorials. Included are Club President David Fuller and wife Rotarian Helen, DG David Roach, DGE Amanda Roach, and most importantly Rotarian Margaret Jose. Both Margaret and late husband, Rotarian Graham, always attended our local ANZAC Day Dawn Services, often laying a wreath on behalf of our Club. Such a special Dawn Service for us all!

09.01.2022 Today I had the honour of attending the Kandos High School Presentation Day as President of the Rotary Club. My role was to present the Scholarship Awards that the Club sponsors. It gave me the opportunity to congratulate the hard working recipients. Congratulations must go to the people that made this event happen. It is so different to have to have smaller groups in the school hall, stream the event by Zoom to give parents and friend the opportunity to be part of it and to... have guest speakers and performers pre recorded. The logistics were difficult but it all went smoothly. The school presented the Rotary Club with an Appreciation Certificate for our contribution. It is wonderful to play a small part in this school. Best wishes from the Rotary Club to KHS for the 2021 Year.

08.01.2022 Jennifer E. Jones, a member of the Rotary Club of Windsor-Roseland, Ontario, Canada, has been nominated to become Rotary International’s president for 2022-23, ...a selection that will make her the first woman to hold that office in the organization’s 115-year history. 06.01.2022 Donation Distribution Day 1st August 2020 During the fires that impacted our area in December and January, a large amount food and household consumables were donated from a variety of sources. At the time, a few of the members of the Rotary Club of Rylstone Kandos stepped up and were managing the packing and distribution of these donations. A large number of hampers were put together and distributed to local people that were going through hard times during and after the fir...es. The storage and distribution have been based at the Rylstone Memorial Hall. With the Coronavirus lockdown, and the closure of all of the Council facilities during that period, the distribution of the items was put on hold. There is still a large number of donated items in the hall so the Rotary Club is having a Donation Distribution Day. The Rotary Club of Rylstone Kandos would like to invite any members of our community, especially those who are feeling the effects of hardship through drought, fires and COVID-19, to drop in to the Rylstone Memorial Hall between 10:00am and 2:00pm on Saturday the 1st of August and pick up items for your homes and families. On the day, you will need to bring along some shopping bags as many of the items are small and loose. The Rotary Club will have COVID-19 controls in place for your safety and your support of these rules and instructions is mandatory. So, come along to the Rylstone Hall with your shopping bags and pick up some goodies.

02.01.2022 Today I met virtually with other District Governors Elect from around the Asia-Pacific Rotary area with Shekhar Mehta who will be International President for the 2021-22 Rotary year. Shekhar and his lovely wife Rashi (who are from Calcutta, India) spoke with us at length about the vision for his Rotary year, also giving us support for working through this strange COVID19 time we live in. We are so lucky to have good leaders to assist us in times that are changing, and provide great ideas of how to continue work in our communities.
