12.01.2022 What it is to be a WOMAN - Of all the spaces I have crafted over the years - this one is my hero! So what brings me to elevate this artistic expression above all the others? As I deconstruct what I have meticulously constructed; I start to realise that the story behind this space is by far the strongest expression of what it is to be a WOMAN. On the surface, the room is awash with FEMININE, soft and delicate undertones of pinks and muted greys. Then, beyond first impressions..., there is a further DEPTH and consideration by the introduction of the warmer, richer plums. On closer inspection, a strong framework of values and principles of RESILIENCE are reflected by the framed lines and detailing in the panelled feature wall. Without a doubt, strong messages of CONFIDENCE are sent by the bold yet elegant silhouette of the feature chairs. And finally, the most POWERFUL statement is made by the lustre of bronze and gold pendants that drop effortlessly from the ceiling to take true centre stage! It is amazing how you can humanise a space and reflect core personal value in DESIGN. This makes design a truely expressive and powerful place for WOMEN to make their mark and put their stamp on the world.
