04.01.2022 Broomehill was the place to be on Friday 13 November, with the opening of the newly constructed Broomehill Central Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade station. The ope...ning was performed by Shire President Cr Mark Paganoni, Department of Fire & Emergency Services Acting Deputy Commissioner Rick Curtis, and Brigade Captain Neil Tears. The new facility, which was funded by Council and funds from the Emergency Services Levy, provides a base for the Broomehill Central Brigade, and a meeting venue for small group community activities. We also acknowledge the contribution from the Australian Government through Rick Wilson MP and the Stronger Communities Program, towards the new rainwater tank installed as part of the construction.
