21.01.2022 Have you moved your body today? Im sitting doing a puzzle n needed to move so I thought Id share it with everyone! Do 8-10 of each movement. Cat/cow stretch> hovers to activate your abdominals 2 versions of leg circles 1. Is focusing on stability second is to get movement through your hips... glute bridges with a hold at the end & arm raisess Squats and then finish with some upper body mobility against the wall And a roll down because we always need them! #moveyourbody #pilatesforeverybody #movementmatters See more

21.01.2022 What a morning! Huge shout out to all the kids who did the Tryathlon this morning! You all did amazing Great work to these 3 legends trained hard and gave it your all! 20.01.2022 They say to trust the timing, COVID-19 and a baby coming have tested my trust, but we have to believe everything happens for a reason. We have made the incredibly difficult decision to close our studio but our love & joy of teaching Pilates is far from ending. We will be relocating our Mat classes (more details to come) as well as continue our online classes with a mix of reformer & mat classes.... Jo will continue to teach online and will be teaching face to face as soon as the restrictions are lifted, Rynelle will be finishing up teaching on Saturday the 20th and once ready to come back and teach will be doing face to face & online classes! I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported our journey, from the church hall to the studio and beyond. Our members, our community is why we love teaching and whilst in a different location we will continue to teach and share the benefits of pilates along with building amazing relationships. 20.01.2022 COVID-19. As we all become very aware of the information around the Coronavirus and the constant updating of information, we wanted to ensure you that your health & wellbeing is our priority In regards to keeping our studio clean & sanitised there are things that we already do and then there are further steps that we have implemented. What we currently do:... All reformers are further wiped down and cleaned with Eucalyptus sanitiser twice per week All surfaces cleaned weekly. Floors are mopped/ sanitised twice per week. The clothes are washed twice per week Spray bottles have on guard oil in them which is a hospital grade sanitiser. What we have further implemented: We have started using paper towel instead of the cloths to wipe down the equipment so that this is single use. If we change back to cloths these will then go to being washed daily. As we are aware that paper towel may end up in short supply. Hand Sanitiser is now above the shoe rack and we ask that everyone uses this prior to going on any reformer/ mat. Mats will be machine washed twice a week and are to be wiped down after each session. If you have your own mat we de encourage you to bring one in to use this can be placed on top of our mats. We ask that all members bring in a hand towel to use during their session. This is not to be used to wipe the machines down after use. We ask that if you are sick you take the extra precautions and stay home! If need be reach out and we can suspend/ increase your expiry on your passes. Any questions please don't hesitate to ask us. your Pilates Instructors.

16.01.2022 How is your energy today? Moved your body today? There is so much uncertainty at the moment on what, when and how we are going to do everything. What you can control right now is yourself. Movement is even more important to keep yourself healthy and immune system strong. Thinking about coming to a class?... We only have 6 in the studio at any 1 time, with our reformers spread out to have over 1m in between them ALL the time! Hand sanitiser on arrival and leaving, your own cloth to wipe down everything that you used. Come and give it a go! 16.01.2022 FEAR False Evidence Appearing Real I was going to do another post today on movement but I found this quote and it resonated with me "Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less" Its very easy and understandable to feel fear right now. Lets focus on what we can control and put something in your day every day to catch yourself when you slip.... This movement may not be achievable today if we wanted it enough we can train for it. Today is 4 point kneeling and one that there’s no need for some oldie videos! Working on glutes, abs, balance and stability. Add in some cat/cow stretch for some back movement as well. focusing on hip stability and control as you extend your leg or add in the arm extension Watch out for tomorrow’s exercise to build in to your home sessions or if your going on holidays and want to do some movement these are great!

The number gets set by #pushforbetter so dont divide it by 21 The time is better than ever to focus on our mental health, our fitness and raise some money for an amazing cause.... 3046 is the amount of suicides in 2018 (2019 days not available) The number is lower this year which is amazing for 2 reasons.. suicides are down and so are the amount of push ups! 13.01.2022 March Matness- a month designed to celebrate and try new things on the Pilates mat! Over the next 21 days we will bring you a new exercise that you can do anywhere. Exercises that any ability, any level, any ONE can do! We will have some flashbacks too of some old videos - church hall days (and you will see how often I change my hair ) for some pre pregnancy exercises!... For today, here is a 4 point kneeling series. Working on glutes, abs, balance and stability. keeping hips stable as you extend the leg/ arm During the next few weeks you will be able to build in this to create your own workout for when your wanting to get an extra session at home or if your going on a holiday and want to get some extra movement in!

Focusing on bringing your belly button towards your spine to engage abdominals as you move from a neutral ( pic A) or Anterior ( Pic C) to a posterior Pic B.... When moving the opposite way relax through your abdominals to create the curve in your spine. Doing this before abdominal work or glute bridges allows you to begin to engage abdominals and get movement through your spine. See more

08.01.2022 March Matness Day 2! 10 Hovers Plank hold 20-30 secs 10 Leg Pulll each side Hovers keeping upper body stable, control as you rise and lower your knees Plank hold keep pushing the mat away, keep weight even between your hands & feet... Leg pull control & balance. Hips are stable, lift the leg as high as you can, lower with control. Build this on to our 4 point kneeling series from yesterday! All you need is yourself to do these movements! Get your kids to give it a try too.

Todays movement for March Matness day 7 is single leg circles. There is 2 versions, second one is in comments. First one is to focus on pelvis stability, strong core to keep stability. Second version is to create movement in your hips by moving fluidly to create a circle. ... Remember movement needs to be your priority! Have a think how you will get it in tomorrow! Need some motivation...we still have some spots available tomorrow!

We will be continuing to stock Dharma Bums active wear; we will be introducing D&K active wear - including maternity; and...we’ll be introducing a BABY in July! ... I’m sure some of you have been suspecting it and you’ve been right, I am pregnant! Our little Bubs is expected in July. Don’t worry! Our programs will still continue, there may be some instructor changes moving forward but everything else will stay as normal...except for my belly! Rynelle x

The exercise that everyone needs in their life ... 3 versions of clams with extensions for all versions! Feet down (easiest) , feet up (moderate), 90degrees ( hardest). Why should you do it?
