25.01.2022 Sunday fun day for the Brissie team!

25.01.2022 The Toowoomba RMA WAGE (Wives and Girlfriends / Partners of Engineers) club members learnt the ancient art of basket weaving over the weekend. With creative guidance from Marcella & Tabitha of soulmakers in their cosy studio, everyone crafted a useful, handmade keepsake to take home. Thank you to everyone who came along, we hope you had a relaxing time crafting and catching up over a cuppa.

25.01.2022 The Bundy WAGE Club had what looked to be a terrific afternoon of wine tasting and high tea at Vintners Secret, Childers, and what better way to get there than a purple stretch hummer.

25.01.2022 Congratulations to team RMA champions, Rob, Danny & Brock, who competed in the Australian Corporate Triathlon series on the Gold Coast recently. Some great times were recorded, the slowest time was waiting in the line up to get a pie at Yatala on the way home...

25.01.2022 Renovation progress - week 1. This space once held lunchtime gym sessions for the Toowoomba team. #newoffice #officegoals #teamRMA #toowoombabusiness #engineers

24.01.2022 The annual Hutchies vs RMA indoor cricket match was held last Friday. This annual event supports both our companies Movember teams. No need to discuss the results this year. As the famous cricket quote goes Some days you’re the windscreen, some you’re the bug. Most importantly it was a great afternoon supporting a great cause!

23.01.2022 The Bundaberg and District Ex-Servicewomen's Association recently held the Elements Art event, to celebrate the organisation's 50th anniversary coinciding with the 100-year anniversary of women receiving bravery awards for courage under fire. The Mother, Wife, Daughter - Salute to Servicewomen exhibition featured 60 portraits of Bundaberg & District Ex-Servicewomen's Association members from the Second World War through to today. RMA were very proud to sponsor a portrait for the exhibition. The event was incredibly humbling and an honour for the Bundaberg RMA team be a part of.

21.01.2022 A huge congratulations to everyone who participated in the Movember fundraising efforts. Last year, we raised $688, this year we smashed our goal of $2000 and raised a massive $3121! RMA will match this effort dollar for dollar, and distribute a third of this amount to the Movember foundation, Cure Brain Cancer Foundation, and the Pink Ribbon Cancer Council. Take a look at the creative rundown of all our Movember activities below, prepared by our Movember Motivators, Adam & Adam (or Mario & Luigi). Thanks guys, you did a fantastic job organizing so many excellent fundraising activities.

21.01.2022 Well done to our RMA fitness fanatics, who finished out the year with a bang at the final RMA lunchtime gym session today. Thank you Gio Premier Conditioning and John Snap Fitness Bundaberg for challenging our guys and girls every week, and inspiring some friendly fitness competition across all 3 locations.

21.01.2022 Thank you to all of the ladies who joined us for the most recent RMA WAGE club event held at Inbound in Toowoomba last Saturday. Delectable high tea treats were enjoyed, washed down with tea, coffee and bubbly inside the picturesque historic Toowoomba Railway station. Thanks for having us Inbound!

20.01.2022 RMA Engineers are proud to join the Fulton Trotter Architects team for the Brisbane to Gold Coast Cycle Challenge to raise funds for The Heart Foundation and Healthy Living Through Cycling. Torrential rain, cyclonic headwind and flooded roads (and even the odd magpie) didn’t stop this team when it comes to great causes! Looking the part thanks to Paul Trotter's striking jerseys, the fashion certainly outperformed the weather. Thanks to the Fulton Trotter crew for inviting RMA into their team. A big thank you to Bicycle Queensland for a well organised event, the volunteers and the Queensland Police who stood out in that weather to provide a safe and enjoyable ride. We certainly look forward to next year!

20.01.2022 On behalf of whole the team here at RMA Engineers, we would like to give a big congratulations to Dina Delac on recently achieving RPEQ status! This achievement is a true reflection of Dina’s hard work and commitment, often going above and beyond the expected to deliver exceptional early project outcomes. As a key member of the Traffic and Transport team, Dina works with clients in the early stages of projects to establish the traffic and transport philosophy. Achieving succe...ssful traffic outcomes in these early stages is critical to achieving efficient and optimised civil design and construction outcomes for the project. Well done Dina on this outstanding and well-deserved achievement! #RMA #Engineers #toowoomba#Bundaberg #Traffic #Engineer #Transport

19.01.2022 Many of our staff attended last week’s annual Movember cricket tournament against Hutchinson Builders. This annual tournament is in its 12th year! A massive thanks to everyone who participated and helped organise the afternoon. It’s a great event aimed at raising valuable funds and awareness of men’s health issues. This year we had a new addition to the tournament, The Breast Cancer Pink Bat match which consisted of mixed gender teams. Hutchies won this game 86 - 65. Hutchies... also won the inaugural T12 match by 33 runs with the score ending up at 89 56. Finally, we had the Movember Shield match. This match was the closest of the day ending with a difference of only 10 runs. Hutchies managed a clean sweep and won the match 152 142, extending their winning streak to 5 years in a row. A massive thank you to all the supporters that came out to watch the games. Both RMA and Hutchinson Builders raised a significant amount for Movember and had a lot of fun doing so. Let the training for next year begin!

18.01.2022 In 2003, the moustache was a fashion sin. Two mates met for a quiet beer in Melbourne, and the idea that sparked Movember was born. Could they bring the mo back? They found 30 mates willing to take up the challenge and grow a mo, with a view to use their facial hair to start conversations about men’s health. 15 years later, the Movember movement has inspired over 5 million supporters worldwide, and channeled awareness and fundraising towards changing the face of men’s healt...h, with funds directly supporting research into prostate and testicular cancer, men’s mental health and suicide prevention. With a number of our staff members and their families touched by the devastating effects of disease and illness, RMA are committed to matching dollar for dollar, the amount raised by the RMA Movember team - Real Moustache Association. We will distribute the matched amount amongst 3 charities close to RMA staff and their families. Movember Cure Brain Cancer Cancer Council | Pink Ribbon. Our staff are busily organising and hosting events such as office morning teas, BBQs, ping pong tournaments, cricket matches, mo-photo / faux mo-photo competitions and poker nights to help raise money. Please stay tuned - we hope you all have the opportunity to get involved in some way. Please check out our RMA (Real Moustance Association) team Mo Space page to see how our team are progressing with their individual commitments, from growing a mo to moving 60km.

18.01.2022 RMA held their annual Strategy Day at Spicer’s Hidden Vale, last week. We all had an amazing day catching up with colleagues, learning about RMA’s direction and hearing from some of our staff as to why they love RMA. As always, the interoffice touch football game was a highlight. Congratulations to the Toowoomba office for taking out this year’s premiership! Thanks Justin for being our photographer for the day. Here are some highlights.

17.01.2022 Look what we found - a BEFORE before shot of our office. 5 Bowen Street Toowoomba - pre 1970s. This beautiful facade was ripped down and replaced with what is there today. 16.01.2022 One of our staff members famously embraces the Christmas spirit here at RMA, and it is very contagious. Nathan Tranter, your modern RMA Christmas Carol could rival Mariah & Buble' for top place in the charts this festive season. Thanks for spreading the Christmas cheer with your cleverly rhyming out of office message... "Twas the month before Christmas, when all through RMA, not a creature was stirring, but the sound of table tennis being played, ... The gym towels were hung in the showers with care, in the hope that someone would not be bare, The staff were nestled all snug in their chairs, While visions came to mind of Friday arvo beers, When upstairs in the gym there arose such a clatter, Melita, Shell, Jess & Ems sprang from their desks to see what was the matter, Away to the doorway and upstairs they bolted, Only to find it was a bench pressing Rob Mottin, When what to my wondering eyes should appear, But both Adams, KO & Brock wearing spectacular mo's at this time of year, Now Civil, now Surface Water, now Hydraulics and Traffic, On Soils, on Construction, on Admin-Accounts-IT and Structure, At the front of the Office, to the back in the lane, Those parking inspectors are really a pain, The staff spoke not a word, but went straight to their files, And designed all their layouts and stood with a smile, And laying their coffee cups underneath the coffee machine, And giving a nod they hit the milk with steam, Accounts sprung to the phones, gave all the teams a call, Are there timesheets to add? It's time for wages for all! But I heard all the Directors exclaim, ere they drove out of sight, it's the month of Christmas you see, And to all go home and put up your Christmas Tree!" See more

16.01.2022 A large number of friends and family commuted to this year’s annual RMA Go Kart Challenge on 9th September at Kingston Park Raceway. A total of 10 RMA rev heads from Brisbane and Toowoomba offices competed against some 15 other imposters. The challenge consisted of 3 heats with points tallied towards the final race for podium finish. Many PB’s were achieved, notably that of Stuart Bowser Doyle, who’s veteran performance has produced some marked improvements along with Davi...d Donkey Kong Schaumburg who managed to take out this year’s Mr Magoo prize. Other notable results include David Koopa Trooper Waldock, who must have spun on a banana placing him in 3rd position overall and upcoming speedster Adam Luigi Krause whose gentleman tactics became his undoing to claim 2nd place. Anthony Toad O’Neill, who modestly accepted the accolades, scraped into 1st place in the final to take out this year’s challenge. Thanks to all those that participated on the day, it’s always a good day out and great opportunity to share experiences with our fellow RMA comrades.

15.01.2022 Artist Jenni Kirkwood provided her studio at Burnett Heads for the Bundaberg RMA WAGE (Wives and Girlfriends of Engineers) event held last Sunday. Anna, Jo, Georgia, Teresa and baby Mia turned out some fabulous art work, each displaying an individual flare.

15.01.2022 Going Casual for a Cause! At RMA we loosen the tie on a Friday and go casual all in the name of charity. Staff can don their comfy clothes by donating $2 of their weekly pay that we donate to a charity of their choice. RMA then matches staff donations dollar for dollar. Currently we are supporting the Children's Hospital Foundation with our donations. This money helps fund medical research, invest in new equipment and provide support and entertainment for kids and their fami...lies. 12.01.2022 RMA Engineers' annual day of celebrating, learning and aligning! On Friday the 19th of July we held our annual company-wide strategy day in Brisbane. 11.01.2022 We love working in partnership with our #Agribusiness clients and local suppliers to help them achieve their growth and expansion goals! Darwalla Group is one of Queensland’s largest privately-owned poultry producers supplying much of the Queensland Market. Darwalla’s success in the industry has necessitated the expansion of their facilities across their sites throughout the Darling Downs. Construction works for the Group’s expansion including 6 new, 120-metre long poultry sh...eds are well underway! Our works have included the bulk earthworks and stormwater design to tie the new sheds in with the existing facilities, geotechnical investigations for foundation design, construction supervision and certification as well as tendering and contract administration. Each shed has required between 2,000 to 10,000 cubic metres of earthworks to create a flat pad for the construction of the sheds. It has been a pleasure working with Darwalla Group and the consultant team Precinct Urban Planning, R&DG Sanday, Wayne Wilson at Wilson Survey and Design and RMA Soils to bring this project to life! 01.01.2022 Being a local business, we thoroughly enjoy working alongside #local contractors and developers to open up more residential opportunities for the #Toowoomba community! Our team is currently undertaking further works on Keira View, a residential subdivision in Toowoomba with some breathtaking views! RMA’s Civil and Construction Management teams undertook operational works design, tendering, contract administration and construction supervision in the earlier stage of this devel...opment, that was constructed by Hutchinson Builders. To improve the saleability of the remaining lots, our team undertook an investigation into the design and construction of building pads. Our design incorporated the extensive testing and investigation undertaken by RMA Soils, with slope stability and test pits required due to the unique site conditions. It has been great working with Signature Projects QLD, Parkinson Surveys, RMA Soils, Integrated Building Certification and Denis Boyce Earthmoving on this stage of the development! Also a big thank you to Ecology Property for providing the video. We can’t wait to see the end result!
