24.01.2022 This is the best read!! I will never be able to describe the power of time spent cleaning stalls. During this time I have made some of the biggest decisions in my life. I have silently thought my way, step by step, through some of the biggest disasters of my life. I have ugly cried my way through heartbreak all while cleaning stalls. Ive thrown bags of sawdust in range as I thought about all of the shitty things going on in my life. Each stall has oddly given me a place of... comfort as I stood, fork in hand, feeling empty during the times Ive felt so alone. It has taught me to appreciate the serenity of the quiet. Realizing the ones in my life I can count on and the numerous fake people who are only present when convenient for themselves. Ive enjoyed a free gym membership, as Ive sculpted my back and shoulders into he man, just sifting away. Ive stumbled my way, dry heaving, with sunglasses ....cleaning stalls through last nights hangover, because god forbid my best friend be forced to stand in a dirty stall. Today I spend my morning, cleaning stalls and processing my life. Im mentally making life changing decisions, as I write this post, knowing that whatever I decide, it will be the right one, as it was made in a stall. I understand that there are those who think us horse people should get real jobs. And that all we do is spend our days playing around. Im genuinely sorry that you have never been exposed to a lifestyle that teaches you discipline, how to love unconditionally, put something other then yourself first, bust your ass for the things you want and need, kept humble by a 1200 lb animal, the real meaning of hard work, early mornings and late nights spent caring for something other than YOU. Those are things a real job will never give you. Some of you havent cleaned stalls .....and it shows.

24.01.2022 The Jnr Apprentice taking a stroll around the stables to ensure all the horses are happy His love of horses, big or small amazes us. ... Little people are sponges, Charlie watches everything we do and mimics. He enjoys making feeds, cleaning stables (dragging the rake around) & filling waters. Most of all, he enjoys patting & talking to them. Its baby babble, however the interaction is beautiful to watch. Charlie has his very own pony. (Not pictured) Spoilt some would say. No, not as we see it. Horses are the Master of all Teachers. Richard & Donna both learnt their work ethics from a young age. Im sure horses played a large roll, along with good parenting. How to be kind, have responsibilities, find courage, have patience and put their horses needs & welfare first. Along with the pure joy & friendship that comes with having your own pony. Not long now until his own pony is here to be broken in. We hope little Sion brings Charlie as much joy as our first ponies brought us!

This did make us giggle No Richard doesnt do no stirrups November, however, what he does do, is first rides bareback in a halter n lead rope. Every month of every year! ... Dont even talk to Donna about stirrups right now No stirrups is a fabulous way to improve your seat and we are right behind it. Just ensure you are fit, strong and not being a hindrance to your horses back or hang on to its mouth. Start on the lunge if you need to.
