24.01.2022 With regard to this project, Lend Lease were having issues with their piling in one area of the river bed, they were having major issues with lack of rock and the sheet piling was "sinking". They used the RMD heavy-duty Megashor and Super Slim Soldiers to create a spud box frame to support the pile sheeting and while in position, they poured concrete until the sheeting could support itself.

19.01.2022 The Minima panel system with composite form face and Slimshor shoring equipment for strong support were supplied to McMahon Services for an underground carpark at Brougham Place, Adelaide. Minima formwork was 3.4m in height and its perimeter length was 89.5m. No issues were encountered on the pour and the client supplied the accessories, such as walkway/handrails, these are a great addition and alleviate the need for access scaffold to the perimeter.

14.01.2022 UTAS NRAS high-rise project in Hobart - Stage 1 involves the supply of approximately 3,500m of RMD’s Airodek, which will be cycled. Also the Alshor Plus shoring system will provide support to the band beams and edge supports. Alshor Plus Legs have been used as back props to release other equipment for use elsewhere whilst the slab concrete cures. Alshor Plus with Deck Beams and panels cantilevered over the edge removes the need for support from the ground and allows for safe access to the slab edge. http://rmdaustralia.com.au/projects/

13.01.2022 Monford Group a WA company working on their first project on the east coast in Newcastle, which is a Pedestrian Overbridge. RMD Newcastle looked after the Pier Columns as well at the smaller stair columns as pictured, which utilized RMD’s Column Yokes and Alform Beam. You will also notice some clever cantilevered soffit systems to catch the corbels on the top of the pier column.

09.01.2022 RMD Darwin supplied Slimshor propping for Darwin’s Gateway Shopping Centre project RMD Darwin supplied Slimshor propping to All Cast NT for Darwin’s Gateway Shopping Centre project. Slimshor was used to support precast panels at a height of 9.5m. The main construction constraint or problem encountered by the client was a large void directly in front of the precast panel landing area resulting in a required raker length in excess of 15m. This fact ensured that regular precast propping systems wouldn’t meet the brief, but with the help of the RMD design team and RMD’s ever versatile Slimshor product, support of these panels was achieved with ease. http://rmdaustralia.com.au/products/slimshor-2/

03.01.2022 The client is Bill Wieland Concreting, working on the Bundaberg Multi-Sports Complex in Bundaberg. He has been using RMD Australia for a while, but this was his first time using the Minima panel system. There were two blade walls with voids in them, which was a challenge with regards to design and implementation. The client needed a space to put the pump hose into, to ensure the concrete was evenly dispersed under the voids. The second wall went up quicker than the first, be...cause they hadn’t used minima before and it was a large wall so there was a bit of a learning curve on the first. Rapidshor shoring was used for the overhang on one end and they used Alform Beams and Super Slim Soldiers conventional formwork for the columns. They were pleased with the outcome of the blade walls and the two different sized columns and they are happy to use RMD’s products again.
