We are the Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth (SPIC MACAY),a non-political, nationwide, voluntary movement founded in 1977 by Dr. Kiran Seth, Professor-Emeritus at IIT-Delhi. SPIC MACAY promotes intangible aspects of Indian cultural heritage by promoting Indian classical music, classical dance, folk music, yoga, meditation,... crafts and other aspects of Indian culture. It is a movement with chapters in over 300 towns all over the world. As part of our ongoing cultural activities, we proudly present the Global Heritage Series 2020, an online series of Indian classical cultural performances. 23.01.2022 Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships.! After two years of celebrating India’s Independence Day on a large scale, bringing the cheer and festivities to Indian students in Melbourne, RMIT Indian Club encountered a new first taking the festivities online. This year, we celebrated India’s 74th Independence Day online with dance and singing performances, games and mouth watering Indian Food on Zoom. ... As the largest cultural club in RMIT.... we are more like a big family, helping each other in any way possible, and providing a homely feeling to our Indian students members. Despite an odd year due to the pandemic, we were determined to bring all the members together to cheer them up and keep up the spirit of Independence Day. We are proud that our beloved RMIT Indian Club getting featured in a local news article here in Australia. #RMITIndianClub
