17.01.2022 As you may know from our union campaigning, hundreds of #RMIT casuals have not been paid the correct marking rate for academic judgement over the last 6 years. So far, the NTEU has won tens of thousands of dollars backpay each for a growing number of individual members. We are now going forward with a collective dispute. For non-VE academic casuals, any marking more complex than simple assessment pieces (paid at the standard rate) that requires academic judgement can be p...aid up to $19.10 an hour more. If you have been paid at the standard rate when you were exercising academic judgement, you may be entitled to back pay.
