21.01.2022 Discontinuation of face-to-face short courses at RMIT... On 22 March, 2020 RMIT made the decision to suspend all face-to-face activity across its Australian campuses. This transition impacted all areas of the university, including short courses. Face-to-face short courses will not be scheduled beyond 2020 but there are a number of study options available via the RMIT website https://www.rmit.edu.au/study-with-us ... We are proud of our community’s continued response to COVID-19 and willingness to innovate and adapt during this difficult time. Despite the challenges we face, we remain focused on continuing our leading research and providing quality learning experiences for our students. 21.01.2022 It's inspiring hearing from our short course alumni how they have used their new talents to support our community. From Sewing Intensive alumni Aleena Soon: 'I just participated in volunteering to sew scrubs for our frontliners. A great way to practice after graduating from RMIT’s intensive sewing class in February. More info : https://www.ronascrubs.com FB group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/865861777227284/?ref=share... Pix are the 3 sets of scrubs I’ve sewn in a week. It’s very similar to the pyjama pants that we’ve sewn (but has some adjustments i.e. drawstrings used instead and slit on the sides). Fabric is provided (sponsored by Spotlight) and all you have to do is sew. I added some of my own contrasting fabric on the neckline and pocket. Alrighty, do join if you’d like to practice for a good cause.'
