Thanks Ben another good roll back A tipper trailer incident with it laying over for a sleep, with a few grapes in it.. Should you come across one - STAY STRAIGHT brake hard, but not so hard you lose traction if have non-ABS brakes. If you get it wrong, trying to swerve get on the brakes this can be the end result more times than not. Extremely lucky not to have rolled and had 3 in it. All ok very very lucky. 20.01.2022 Community service/safety Announcment Please be aware there are people (scum) out there that just dont care about others possessions. This Ford Territory broke down with faulty alternator at about 5pm. Battery had gone flat. Owners took battery out to charge it overnight. ... They got a knock on door at about 2am by Sapol. Sadly it got severly vandalised and as you can see very badly. This went from a simple breakdown to a total written off vehicle overnight left on side of road.. sadly as said the scum are out there. Consider this can happen, more often than many know.. Always consider the cost of professional Towing in the big picture, it could be a better option than the Inconvinence, insurance claim, time to go through the process and then finding another vehicle. This family with 5 young children seriously put out by this. 16.01.2022 Late Saturday afternoon a truck and trailer came to grief, but thankfully the driver was ok and walked away, yes amazing but he really did walk away from it. After discussions on site with the owners, they chose to engaged us being a local towing and recovery business that is up to the task of moving and recovering almost anything. We set about recovering their truck and trailer and to move the trailer to local business MARs Transport Equipment at Barmera and the Prime Mover... to another business at Waikerie. Calling up one of several heavy Wreckers we have available to us with in our Statewide group network the Kenworth T409 rated to 97 tonne was well up to the task. Was a lengthy procedure to roll it back on its wheels and minimising damage and then getting it out of the position it was in on the edge of a vineyard and all set up for towing it out.. Another successful recovery for River Murray Towing. Anywhere Anytime..

Very lucky a Blown Steer tyre on this truck heading across to WA from Sydney on the Sturt Hyw near Neds Corner in Victoria, did a bit of damage requiring repair. RMT arranged with our local Riverland business M.A.R.s Transport Equipment for repairs. Anywhere Anytime

11.01.2022 Early morning Sturt Highway otherside Yamba Please be sure of maintenance on your vehicles. We do not like picking these up. The 2 owners were very lucky.. Smoke, smell of fuel, pulled up and that was it. This the end result, lucky they received no burns at all.... Anywhere Anytime

10.01.2022 Might be American but the issue is very real here in OZ too.. Sadly they do lose a lot of operators every week, can only hope OZ does not get like it.. Please slow down and move over for all of our sakes, it is bad enough that we have very little room often on highways and streets without the inattentive drivers too, we only have 2 eyes at the front of our heads, cant look everywhere at once. Have to be honest it does become a bit of 2nd nature to always be looking, but it o...nly takes once.. I have been shaved a number of times, in Qld and in SA just doing my job and helping you out... Yes we do think about it as we walk out of our homes, well I certainly do these days as I have learned I am not 10 foot tall and bulletproof as I thought when younger.. PLEASE SLOW DOWN AND MOVE OVER even 30 cm it all helps...

10.01.2022 One of the team got to take a new HSV Camaro for a trip the other day. 6.2 litre Supercharged and sounded awesome No not a breakdown or worse, it was going for paint protection and the owner didnt want to drive it and risk road chips etc.... Anywhere Anytime.

10.01.2022 Could have been a worse outcome for a young driver and passenger heading home Monday of the long weekend. Young driver made a simple mistake in a corner with a Kangaroo encounter, lucky both driver and passenger walked away ok. Bit battered, bruised and shaken up, but ok. This occurred on Murraylands Rd Swan Reach/Walker Flat region. The result after hitting the rock embankment, as said could have been worse and gone the other way down an embankment. ... 10.01.2022 Anywhere Anytime is our motto Certainly did last night, bit of a long night. Asked to assist 2 fellas on their way to Bathurst. Unfortunately they got as far as 25Ks into Victoria on the Sturt Hyw and the wheels fell off their trip - literally!!!... Very very lucky to have a happy ending, often these incidents do not end this well. No major damage, stayed on the road - From their description of the wild ride at a 100kph both sides of the road and the wheel missed 2 vehicles coming other way. Be sure to check your Nuts are secure often guys and the wheel nuts too They had new tyres fitted last week hmm Taken across to Mildura and hopefully their Landcruiser can be sorted quickly and they can continue to Bathurst race in time. PS: Thank you to all the trucks that moved over while I was working on loading it all up, it is VERY much appreciated even if you can not slow much, helps heaps - wish I could say same for cars maybe 2 did slow and move over to them - thank you Hope they get it sorted and on their way, be a pain to miss the race and the good track camping spot guys Anywhere Anytime

06.01.2022 ROAD SAFETY TOWING MESSAGE Yes it does seem a cheaper option, than paying a Professional Tow operator to tow it for you, doesnt it. All good as long as nothing goes wrong, when it does you will need the Professional anyway and more $$s.... Remember any towed vehicle be it a Caravan or trailer over 2 tonne requires breakaway brakes and can assure you we have not seen a hire trailer yet with them.. most hire trailers are derated to 1200KG, wont pick much of a car up with that legally. World of pain when it all goes wrong, especially if the insurance company looks into it. This Combination would have been well over 2 tonne.. The tow vehicle capable sure, but just because you can doesnt mean you should... Yes it does seem a cheaper option, than paying Professional to tow it for you, doesnt it. with a vehicle designed to do it right.. - SAFELY.. and all get to your destinations.

This photo is taken at a spot on Lake Bonney in Barmera that is well known for catching people off guard. Solid ground turns into thick and deep sand so quickly that often you don't realise until it's too late. If you're not sure or don't know the area, it never hurts to get out and walk it first!
