23.01.2022 ASBK Management Team is disappointed to advise the cancellation of the ASBK Round 2 at The Bend Motorsport Park, South Australia, originally planned for November 20-22. The cancellation comes as a result of continuing delays to the reopening of State borders and State Government restrictions, despite falling virus numbers. 21.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT It is with regret that the Interclub Road Race committee confirm the cancellation of the August round This is in line with restrictions on activity impacting the State Motorcycle Complex location as well as the residence of many regular competitors.... We remain hopeful that the November round will go ahead, however will continue to monitor the situation and remain in contact with MV.

18.01.2022 AUSTRALIA’S WORLD SUPERBIKE ROUND POSTPONED Australia’s season-opening round of the 2021 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship, normally held in late February at Victoria’s thrilling Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, has been postponed due to the ongoing complexities and risks associated with the COVID-19 pandemic on a global scale.... General Manager of the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, David Bennett, announced the postponement today with circuit management currently working with the Victorian Government and the world organising body for the category, DORNA WSBK organisation (DWO), to develop an alternative date for the world superbike championship round. We have been closely monitoring the situation in Australia and globally, and working with our stakeholders. We’ve delayed our decision as late as possible, but unfortunately with the uncertainty that exists in the world today, we are going to have to postpone our world superbike round, said Bennett.

18.01.2022 It is with the greatest pleasure that I can announce that Race Marshals Victoria have determined to present Liz Galazkiewicz with Honorary Life Membership of the Club. In recognition and sincere appreciation her outstanding and sustained efforts to support and promote flag marshals across Motorcycle sport in Australia. We would have preferred to present the certificate, recognising this award, and celebrating the event properly, but the current COVID-19 situation have preclu...ded this. The members of RMV truly appreciate, and value, all that she have done during her tenure at MA, and wish her all the best in her new endeavours. No doubt we will see her down the track (pun intended)

18.01.2022 Home from Morwell already, congrats to Hartwell MCC and Latrobe Council for putting on a great inaugural Latrobe Motorfest. Thanks to those that showed up to flag, a good fun day was had by all, it started off wet but the weather improved and so did the racing. We will be back.... Cheers Glenn

07.01.2022 For Brendan Ferrari, what started as a fill-in flag marshall role at Calder Park to ensure racing could start one weekend in 1982, turned into a life-long passi...on for officiating across all motorcycle disciplines, from club events to international races. We sat down with the inaugural winner of Motorcycling Australia’s Graham Checkers Stewart Official of Year Award to discuss his passion for the sport and officiating. 05.01.2022 So El Presidente’ mucked up and left the box that held the trophies , but there was one trophy in side as well as the small shield to go on the perpetual trophy. If anyone picked it up, could you please let me know. Thanks El Prez.

05.01.2022 Cancellation of VRRC Round 3 at Phillip Island Dear Competitors, Based on the information received about further lock downs and state border closures, the Preston Motorcycle Club has to make the difficult decision to cancel the VRRC 2020 State Title round at Phillip Island scheduled for the end of August. This is a very difficult decision to make, but considering the limits and restrictions imposed so close to the event, we feel it is in the best interests of our volunte...ers, entrants and supporters that we cancel our 2020 event. This is bitterly disappointing, as we had already received record entries even 6 weeks out from the event. As an example in 2019 we received 38 Superbike entries, as of this morning we have 52 - everyone is keen to race and ride, but unfortunately a State Title Event cannot proceed with the current situation. This event is not viable with any restriction on entrants, especially for interstate competitors. To give you an idea, of the 190 entries received to date 65 of those come from interstate (35% of the total). With borders effectively closed for the unforeseeable and immediate future - we are left with no other choice. We are completely shattered about having to cancel this event, our biggest of the year, but based on these latest lockdowns and state borders being shut, we were left with a difficult decision to cancel the event. We are of course hopeful of being able to run Round 4 of the VRRC at Broadford on November 7th & 8th and look forward to seeing you all again soon. We will be processing refunds in the coming days, but if you have any questions please do not hesitate to email Lisa at [email protected] Wishing you well and again appreciate your support and understanding.

01.01.2022 Hi all, With round 1 if Vic Titles on this weekend at Winton, and with long track being used, we are still a few marshals short of what we would prefer to have trackside. If you could spare a day or 2 to come and wave some flags and watch some great racing it would be greatly appreciated.... Accommodation is provided, let me know if you can join us. Thanks Haggis.
