24.01.2022 As a content creator, my strength lies in words....not images and graphics. Part of creating compelling content is having images and graphics that your IC will love and respond to. But how to do that when I really suck at them? (And I mean like really, really suck)! The answer...a tool that does it for you! ... My go-to? CANVA They have templates that make it sooooo easy to create amazing graphics (like the graphic below). Each template is easily customisable with your brand colours and images. I currently use the PRO (paid) version, but they do have a FREE option! Yep, a free tool to help you create the best graphics for your small biz! Do you use Canva? Do you have a tool that you simply could not live without? #contentcreation #smallbizlove #contentcreationtips #canva
11.01.2022 Todays word is SERP, or Search Engine Results Pages. It is a really fancy name for the page/s of results you get back when you type a query into a search engine. SERPs show both organic and paid search results, with paid adverts placed first. ... SERPs matter for SEO because most people don't scroll past the first page - so if you are on page 2 or beyond you are practically invisible. This is why knowing SEO and how to create compelling, unique content is vital to your small biz. By mastering content creation you will be seen, heard and get selling. You WILL rank on SERPs. Now when you hear SERPs being thrown about by content marketers and the likes, you know what it means! Questions? DM me, or drop into the comments. #contentcreationtips #SERP #smallbusinessaustralia
06.01.2022 Question: What if I don’t see the outcome I am expecting? Answer: I get it, working with anyone new can be daunting. And while I hardly EVER have anyone take me up on this as they are so happy, I do have a happiness guarantee/refund policy. DM me to find out more.
05.01.2022 How did I become a content writer? Let me tell you the story. My first born was only a few weeks old. I was snuggling with him in bed one morning, looking at his sleepy face and could already feel dread creeping in.... Dread of having to go back to shift work. Dread of trying to balance being a mum with nursing shifts. Dread of missing out on weekend family time. Dread of having to work over Easter, Christmas and birthdays. Dread of missing those special moments, first steps, first words. In that moment I knew that I needed something else. I still loved nursing (and still do today), but wanted a way to supplement our income so I could go back part time. I started researching work-at-home jobs, and stumbled across content writing. I mean... I LOVE writing so it was perfect! And that is how my little home business has grown and developed right along side my children. Did you have a defining moment when deciding to grow your own business? What was it?
03.01.2022 Here at Rachel Maree, I have a bit of a tradition. I always celebrate every goal I achieve...no matter how small. Why? Because every small win is still a win and keeps me moving forwards.... Landed a new client. Celebrate. Another article published. Party time! Published blogs consistently for a month. Pop the champagne. A client reached their goal. BIG celebration! I love to make sure this always happens and it’s something to always look forward to. Do you celebrate your wins? #smallbizlove #wahm #smallbusinessau
