12.01.2022 We wish to extend to our members and community a further second update from where we previously closed the RMYC clubhouse from Friday 18th December to Sunday 20th December 2020 as an advised precaution from NSW Health with the growing COVID-19 cluster situation on the Northern Beaches. As of 5pm Saturday 19th December to midnight on Wednesday 23rd December 2020 as per Government Health Order, all Northern Beaches clubs, pubs and restaurants are to close. Residents in the Nort...hern Beaches are to stay home and not travel out of the area unless absolutely necessary. Residents may only leave for certain reasons such as essential shopping, exercise and medical care. People will also not be allowed to enter the Northern Beaches local government area unless the above reasons apply. The RMYC clubhouse will extend their closure through to midnight of Wednesday 23rd December 2020. We would also like to report that many staff and members have been tested and no issues have been raised. We would like to thank our Directors, Management, Staff and Members for being so vigilant and looking out for one another during this time. It is of utmost importance that everyones Health and Safety at RMYCBB comes first. We request your cooperation and also understand that many members and their guests are booked in for Christmas Day in the Garden Forecourt. Many of whom spoke with reception yesterday and today. We will review the situation over the coming days with further Government announcements to be made tomorrow. These orders may impact the Clubs ability to operate under revised restrictions. We will wait and see before making a decision in the coming days which will depend on government advice especially Health Orders. The marina remains open as an essential service for personal boats, tender service, ice and fuel. We do request that any members or visitors to the RMYC marina or surrounding area to please wear face masks at all times. Further decisions will be made in the coming days and we will continue to keep you updated. We are currently looking at the developing situation to make the best decisions for our members, staff and local community. We ask our members and staff to please take care and listen to all NSW Health and Community updates. Please go to https://www.health.nsw.gov.au//case-locations-and-alerts.a for confirmed COVID-19 cases that are associated with these locations which have been classified by NSW Health for action. Thank you for your continued support Jayson McDonald - CEO & Chris Lee - Commodore

01.01.2022 It is with a heavy heart, we have decided to take the best precautionary action and keep our staff, members and community safe by cancelling our sold out Christmas Day event. Keeping the clubhouse closed till midnight of Saturday 26th December 2020 (or until further notice). We wish to apologise to all those who have booked for Christmas Day. We are hoping this decision and early notice gives some relief in the ability to plan for the best possible Christmas Day under the cur...rent circumstances. Also to the many group and family bookings we had over this time in Salt Cove Brasserie and Festoon Friday, we apologise and certainly hope to see you back in the New Year. We feel for the many families who will be apart from loved ones on Christmas Day and over the holiday period. The elderly in lock down, retirement/nursing homes and the many who can no longer visit the Northern Beaches or even get back home in time. Our endeavour is to knock this COVID-19 situation on the head as quickly and safely as possible and say goodbye to 2020, welcoming in a healthier & happier 2021 with great times ahead! We have already fully refunded Christmas Day bookings to those who have requested and had Duty Managers phoning all other bookings today to notify all members in person. MARINA OPERATING HOURS: The marina remains open as an essential service for personal boats, tender service, ice and fuel. We do request that any members or visitors to the RMYC marina or surrounding area to please wear face masks at all times. We are changing operating hours from 9am to 5pm daily on the marina with limited times on Christmas Day from 9am to 3pm. The restrictions continue and there will be further updates on Wednesday 23rd December 2020. Meanwhile the Government Health Order remains in place keeping Northern Beaches clubs, pubs and restaurants closed. Residents on the Northern Beaches are to stay home and not travel out of the area unless absolutely necessary. Residents may only leave for certain reasons such as essential shopping, exercise and medical care. People will also not be allowed to enter the Northern Beaches local government area unless the above reasons apply. Further decisions will be made in the coming days regarding our New Year's Eve event in the best interest of our staff, members and community. RMYC continues with their COVID conscious day to day routines and monthly COVID-fogging so we can guarantee a safe environment and will be ready to reopen. We ask our members and staff to please take care and listen to all NSW Health and Community updates. Please go to https://www.health.nsw.gov.au//case-locations-and-alerts.a for confirmed COVID-19 cases that are associated with these locations which have been classified by NSW Health for action. We thank you for your continued support and understanding during this difficult time and hope to see you back at the Club soon. Stay safe. Jayson McDonald - CEO & Chris Lee - Commodore
