02.01.2022 The Road Ready crew celebrating the end of a successful year with a Christmas lunch at the Novotel Twin Waters. Not many people know this story, but thought I would share. David & I have been training for approx: 16-17 years now, with over 10 of those years in Victoria. Approx: 5.5 years ago we started Road Ready here on the Sunshine Coast.... The business didn’t take off instantly, despite having invested in fabulous graphics, website, cars, advertising etc, we just couldn’t get our name out there, the calls weren’t coming in. David had also not long before had a really nasty fall, badly breaking his leg, so to say things were stressful was an understatement. Financially times were really difficult, so we decided we were given no choice but to have to stop Road Ready & start working for another driving school here on the coast. We contacted a local driving school here & asked if we could work for them, but they didn’t just want us to work for them, they wanted to take our business from us. Road Ready would become their business & both of us would be working for them but to top that off they weren’t going to even pay for our business. We were so desperate that we almost went through with it. Our 2 daughters ages 5 & 7 at the time begged us to give it another try & not give up on our business, so we did... Literally a week later the phone started ringing, requests were coming in left, right & centre & now our team of 2 has grown to 3 with the addition of Steve in March just as Covid hit. We are successful through consistently great customer service, knowledge in the industry, a love for what we do & the support of our amazing students, friends & families. It is the constant referrals that we rely on & we can’t thank you all enough. 2020 has been an interesting year for so many & we're so lucky that we are in an industry that is able to continue to provide service to you all. We can’t wait to see continued growth & success in 2021 & remember never, ever give up. Thanks everyone, Emma & David Road Ready
