20.01.2022 To have to tell a family member that somebody has died in a serious crash or been seriously injured is just devastating. To have to walk up to somebodys door ...and give them that news knowing that their lives will be changed foreverto be honest, its something that probably never leaves you. 19.01.2022 THANKS TO CASEY COPS, YOUR DRIVE TO WORK IS SAFER THIS MORNING Yesterday afternoon a team of our best and brightest police from Casey set up to check cars on Cl...yde Road in Berwick. Within a few hours they had taken 4 suspended drivers off the roads and left them with a trip to court before getting a staggering: - 2 speeding drivers between 10-15km/h over the limit - 1 driver who was not displaying his P-plates - 9 unregistered vehicles - 3 drivers who were unlicensed It is disappointing to see so many drivers doing the wrong thing but great job by Casey Cops to get them off the road! 39944

12.01.2022 I always say that when I go to accidentsthat I wish I never met this person. Senior Constable Matt Dengerink was the first police unit to respond to a fatal ...hoon driving crash that claimed the life of Corey Hammond in 2017. He recalls how the accident has affected him, more than two years on. See more

10.01.2022 Victoria Police father-son Dandenong duo together for the first time. Last week, Constable Kyle Du Plessis and father Acting Senior Sergeant Louis Du Plessis ...spent their first ever shift together as father and son. Acting Senior Sergeant Louis Du Plessis spent 10 years at the Search and Rescue squad as a Police diver, was promoted to the Water Police and recently started working with Dandenong police. Constable Kyle Du Plessis graduated from the Victoria Police academy last week. Kyle started working at Dandenong police station as part of his 14 week DTW placement just after his 21st birthday. The two are known for their love of the outdoors including scuba diving and riding motorcycles together although we think now policing together has been added to the list. Victoria Police is thrilled to have this dynamic duo to help serve and protect the community. A proud moment for the Du Plessis family!

06.01.2022 SOUTH GIPPSLAND HIGHWAY 80KM/H SPEED LIMIT Recently the speed limit has changed on the South Gippsland Highway between the Five Ways intersection and Cranbourne... Road, it is now 80KM/H in both directions. We have received complaints on this page about police issuing tickets and the signs being poor. Yesterday morning we decided to go for a drive to have a look for ourselves, we thought the new signs were abundantly clear, I have attached photographs of 11 sets of signs we observed between the two sides. We will ALWAYS enforce speed limits on our roads and do not apologise for this. 39944
