23.01.2022 For the month of January, we were able to recognise the efforts of 2 of our supervisors. Crystal has been with us since 2018. She has been a standout amongst our supervisors with a number of large clients taking the time to call in with positive feedback and requesting her on their sites. Most recently we received this from a local council - Having crystal and the team on site provided an opportunity to manage access effectively for both residents and visitors. Highly prof...essional performance in the face of some very difficult customers. Gave me the confidence to leave them in control and attend to other issues across the area yesterday which enabled the overall management of demand on the network to improve on what council has been able to previously achieve. Well done Crystal and thankyou for your consistent effort! Josh has been recognised for his recent efforts on site as a traffic controller and most recently his promotion to crew leader. Josh applies himself well to all tasks and has demonstrated a positive, can-do attitude whilst at work. He is making his Mark with some of our clients and producing some excellent site setups; one of which featured on our page a few weeks ago. Well done Josh and we look forward to continuing to support you throughout your journey!

17.01.2022 Traffic controller hit by car - Parramatta A traffic controller is in a serious condition after he was hit by a car in Parramatta yesterday (Monday 4 November 2...013). About 9.10pm, the 53-year-old man was operating a stop/go sign in the south bound lane on Marsden Street, when a blue Honda Jazz struck him, causing him to hit the front of the car. He was treated at the scene by Ambulance Paramedics and taken to Westmead Hospital suffering serious head injuries. The 28-year-old driver was also taken to Westmead Hospital for blood samples, and later released. Police Crash Investigation Unit officers attended and undertook examinations of the scene and vehicle. The driver is currently assisting police with their inquiries. Police are urging anyone with information or who witnessed this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page: https://www1.police.nsw.gov.au/. 17.01.2022 Hi All, Please follow link to story about a woman being killed after crashing into a parked excavator. http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au//story-e6freuy9-122620977... Food for thought!!!! There are no references in either RTA Guidelines or AS 1742.3 in regards to parked plant after hours. CoP Moving Plant on Construction Sites, Chapter 3 Managing Risk does mention Parking Plant in a dangerous location If I come across any other information in regards to this issue I will pass it on.

11.01.2022 Roadwork Solutions is approaching the final stages of a project we have been assisting our client with over the last 18months. Working on the Hunter & George St intersection & alongside the Sydney Light Rail has been challenging for both the crews on site & the planning team. We have engaged key stakeholders & negotiated many approvals that have enabled our client to deliver vital sewer rectification works in the area. The crews working here have done an excellent job of managing vehicles, pedestrians & Light Rail movements incident free throughout the project.

05.01.2022 Roadwork Solutions Director Paul Casey presented the Salvation Armys Oasis Youth Support Network with a cheque for over $60,000 which was raised at a charity dinner. The dinner was the brainchild of Lendleases Rob McDermott, who salvaged memorabilia from the old Entertainment Centre and wanted to somehow support Oasis. This morphed itself into a Dinner hosted by Richard Wilkins and was attended by 500 people. A team from Roadwork Solutions and Lendlease put together a night which saw auctions and raffles raise these much needed funds to a wonderful organisation. Oasis Youth Support Network is The Salvation Armys response to youth homelessness in Sydneys inner city and has been supporting disadvantaged and marginalised young people since 1992.
