16.01.2022 Thank you to Autobarn-Macgregor for the excellent service. They replaced the cracked and weathered wiper blades on the Unimog U2150 for me. Also picked up some gear oil for the hubs whilst I was there.

11.01.2022 Globe Roamer Tree Services? No thanks. Decent sized branch fell at the neighbour’s place during the storm last night. Was hanging over their nice Colourbond fence, so had to chop it up into manageable chunks. Good opportunity test out (ok, have a play with) our new Stihl Battery Chainsaw and Polesaw.... Worked well. 02.01.2022 So, why the number plate 51GI? It’s a tribute to a man who had a profound impact on my life (he convinced me to leave the Finance industry and become an electrician), and an enormous lasting impact on so many people. His name was Sigi. He is my father in law. Together with his son @marcus_bark we saved our Unimog U4000 and transformed it into awesome vehicle you see so often on this page. ... Once the transformation was complete, we organised to go to Fraser Island with some Unimog friends for its maiden voyage. Due to depart on Friday, Thursday night Sigi fell ill and wasn’t able to join us on this fantastic trip. Six weeks later he passed away as a result of complications with Leukaemia. Six weeks! Whilst he was able to take the truck out and about - his favourite was going to get lunch in it, he never got to fully enjoy it offroad. We named the truck Sigi in his honour. He’s been gone three years this November. I’m sure he’s rocking down the eternal highway (or trail) in a Unimog with AC/DC blasting.
