12.01.2022 Do you recognise this beautiful location along the Limestone Coast? If you guessed the Blue Lake at Mount Gambier you’d be right. We just spent the long weekend in the pretty southern city for a little family getaway. The Blue Lake is a dormant volcanic crater that last erupted about 6000 years ago. The best way to see the lake is to walk or ride around the rim of it, and take in its spectacular views. Another must see in Mount Gambier is the Umpherston Sinkhole Gardens. The sinkhole was once a cave before the top collapsed. Then in 1886 farmer James Umpherston decided to create beautiful gardens in the cave, which are still thriving today. These are just two of the many different activities you can do across the Limestone Coast so make sure you put Mount Gambier on your list of places to visit soon. Happy roaming

With the mild weather we’ve had this weekend and teasing us over the last couple of weeks, we can’t wait for the warmer conditions to well and truly kick in. It’s got us dreaming of digging our toes in the sand, balmy nights, fishing at the river, barbecues with friends and family, daylight savings and glamping under the stars. Bring on spring & summer!!!
