The holiday is called Ignat, and it's supposed to be loosely based on the story of Saint Ignatius of Antioch, who was thrown to the lions for not giving up Christ. 24.01.2022 Why Porsche + Channel Never Discount Over the weekend it was black Friday and yesterday it was Cyber Monday Both are marketer made up holidays to sell you stuff... Amazon will do Billions in sales Most people I know on Amazon will discount their stuff and like good sheeple lose money that they could have made by selling at full price Wanna know something important? Great brands never go on sale Porsche Ferrari Channel Luis Vuitton Never ever ever will you see them on sale Why? Because it ruins brands and loses profits Heres the reality 1. Some people only buy when there is a sale. (these are always the worst customers to have) 2. Other people value your product and will pay full price, putting it on sale kills profits you could have made 3. Cyber Monday sales are followed by very slow Tuesdays, weak Wednesdays and crappy Thursdays. The sales bump is an illusion 4. Why would someone pay full price if you always discount? Its one redeeming feature is the 65 department store leases it owns, which may prove valuable to an acquirer. 17.01.2022 the cat that only ate KFC Mike got up, and looked at his cats. It was always a struggle... getting them to eat.... Hed been experimenting for years trying to find the right food for them. Hed tried sawdust, peanut butter, marshmallows and even mince pies. But it never quite worked out. Some days, theyd kind of poke their noses at the dinner Mike had prepared...before turning away to watch Masterchef on the couch. Other times, theyd simply reject the food altogether. Then, one day - 4 days before Christmas a miracle occurred. Mike bumped into Father Christmas in the Geelong branch of Coles He was by the butchers counter, next to the salmon and barra. "Here we go Mike - try these..." Santa gave Mike some Chicken nuggets. Mike had never thought about using these before. He got home that night, eager to try them out. And for the first time ever, the cats nearly bit his hand off! They loved the nuggets and wouldnt leave Mike alone. Soon, Mike retreated to his office and watched reruns of masterchef, realising hed been using the wrong bait for YEARS. All those failed experiments! If hed only used the RIGHT BAIT! 16.01.2022 Confessions of pommy git at Bondi Back in 1999 when I first arrived in Australia I thought it was the height of awesomeness to live at Bondi Beach... So along with 7 other sweaty whinging poms I found a house to rent with my new found pommy mates Day 1 of my new life as a pom in Bondi 7am drink a beer 7:30am smoke a joint 8am head to Bondi Beach My new mates played a prank on me at the beach They gave me a tube of zinc cream and told me it was factor 30 sun cream 10 minutes later I looked like a milk bottle! I was almost reflective :D Mission for the day catch a wave at Bondi beach So into the water I jumped and exactly 14 minutes later I was being rescued by the Bondis SLSC :D A less than auspicious start to my time here in Oz After that though I decided to learn to swim properly (not a lot of swimming required in Nottingham) I got good fast and was soon swimming a 5 Ks a day before most folks got out of their pits After a while though life got in the way Busy at work Busy with kids BUSY! So i stopped swimming Over the weekend I decided to jump back in the water and start swimming again So I jumped into the bay at Little Manly where I live and after a minute I was knackered! What they hay? I used to be able to swim 10 Ks and battle sharks! But, just like everything... If you dont use it, ya lose it. You can lose your cardio endurance pretty quickly if you dont keep swimming And as Im finding out, its a complete swine to get it back. Anyway...what I plan to do know is keep swimming through this uncomfortable, wheezy, whingy part, in a few weekseverything will feel better. Its the same with taking action towards your dreams. The first couple of things you do will be the wheezy, burny, snotty swims where you get rescued by the life savers. He was short, about 4 feet tall. He also had weird shoes that curled at the toe. And even more weird, he had pointy ears. I asked him who he was and he said he was a messenger elf from Santa! Apparently, Santa is getting older and slower, and he's concerned about his retirement plan. He’s been spending all his coin on naughty things instead of nice things ;) So he wanted my advice. Can you believe that? So here's what I told this messenger to tell Santa: 1. Start an online business! I told the messenger to tell Santa to start selling his own branded stuff on Amazon, santa toilet paper would be a big hit don’t cha think :D 2. Quit eating the cookies and milk! When going to down chimneys and seeing plate of cookies and a glass of milk, ignore it! And instead, leave a note next to them saying next year he'd prefer to be left fruit or maybe some meat and cheese, instead. And instead of milk, I told him to ask for water. 05.01.2022 When Sarah Cheated On Me I got an email this morning from one of my Aussie Online Entrepreneurs, Sarah She told me that shed strayed from the path and had purchased a goo roo shiny product from click bank for $97... The product was teaching people to make cashola using click bank and promised to make you $100K a month in a few months Usual goo roo garbage But in a moment of weakness Sarah strayed and was seduced by the great sales copy She purchased and instantly regretted it The up-sell was $4000 for coaching to implement the program So just like when you think you really fancy fish and chips and you eat it only to feel kinda sick and fat after (is that just me?) she had goo roo sickness for a week after She came back to me to tell me shed strayed and could you come back into the group? 03.01.2022 How stoopid people make more cashola than you When I was at school we had to do art classes Im no artist so I kinda hated it... We usually dislike things were no good at Anyway My mate (Billy Pinder) was a terrible artist too He was thick as 2 short planks but great fun to hang out with His parents told him if he got an B or better in all his final exams theyd get him the car he wanted A mini 1275 GT Knowing that he sucked at art Billy hatched a plan to get his B He had a friend set up his art as paint by numbers 1 = Red 2 = Blue 3 = Yellow etc etc All he had to do was paint the right colour i the right place It made art easy for him and he actually ended up being pretty good at drawing He got his B and his folks got him his mini Billy may have been stoopid but he sure was smart!
